Not as big nor as significant as a Central Park in Manhattan, for example, but this area is in its own sense the Central Park of Palermo neighborhood. The neighborhood is filled with bars, clubs, restaurants, crowds, and so on. Sometimes it is nice to get away from that and enjoy a bit of nature. In Palermo, this is as good as it gets. I definitely recommend coming to this park sometime. I have noticed that some area are open past 5pm, but I am not sure which ones are.

I found this garden to be a relaxing place to walk around and take some photos. It is full of many sculptures, lots of ducks walking around, and good natural scenery to enjoy. There are paddle boats for rental too on the lake. The place is a good size and one could easily spend one or tow hours here. Unfortunately, I came here during the wintertime, so the roses were not in bloom. While I did enjoy my time here, if I'd known the roses were not in bloom, I probably would have skipped this place.

It was well maintained and none of the flowers were destroyed by people. My husband and I recently visited the New York Botanical Garden in the USA and went to see the roses and I will confidently say that Rosedal not only has better and more roses, it's also kept pristine by visitors...that is something Rosedal and the gardeners should be proud of! I'm amazed that this garden is free and yet so beautiful, I'm honestly shocked. Shoutout to all of the visitors keeping this garden clean and not picking the flowers!! Rosedal is a must see when visiting Buenos Aries. You can also rent a paddle boat nearby or just take a nice stroll through the park. There's also a garden of poets section where you will find busts of historical poets (mostly Argentinian but there was a bust of Shakespeare).

This steel sculpture is one of the signature landmarks of Buenos Aires. It was donated to the city…read moreby an architect in 2002. The sculpture is fairly big (75 feet tall), with its signature characteristic being that its petals can move. The petals are retracted at sunset and then opened up again at sunrise. I thought that it was a gorgeous looking sculpture, but not something to go out of one's way for. What was disappointing as well is that you cannot get close to it and only take photos from a distance. It is surrounded by a reflecting pool. However, it was a perfect add on to my visit to the nearby Recoleta Cemetery.

Floralis Genérica is definitely a cool landmark -- a massive steel flower set in a peaceful park near Recoleta. The design is striking, and the area is impressively clean and well-kept. You'll get some great photo ops here, especially when the petals are open under the sun. But a couple of things held me back from giving this a higher rating. For one, you can't get very close to the sculpture. Unlike something like "The Bean" in Chicago, where you can walk right up, touch it, and experience it from all angles, here you're kept at a distance -- which limits the interaction and overall impact. Also: where are the public restrooms? For such a major tourist draw, there's a surprising lack of bathroom access. A place like this should absolutely have free public facilities -- it's a basic expectation, especially for families and international visitors. Still, it's a worthwhile stop if you're exploring the city and want something visually iconic and relatively quiet. Just come prepared -- and maybe don't load up on coffee right beforehand.

There's a non-working fountain in the middle of this plaza, surrounded by a fence to keep the riff-raf out of the fountain at night. On the weekends, I found that there's an arts n crafts market that surrounds the park, with lots of skilled craftsmen selling their wares with fresh, unique works of art at a reasonable price. We found that there's art for everyone here- I got some earrings and some signs in the Porteno Filetado style- so cool! Surrounding the plaza are lots of places to drink- Palermo seems kind of like the strip- where you can bounce around and try lots of different bars in the neighborhood. The plaza and the neighborhood felt pretty safe, and the plaza seemed well lit enough at night.

It's super well located. It's only a few blocks away from some bus stops and it requires quite a walk from the closest metro or train station, but the charm of this park is that it's surrounded by trendy restaurants of all kinds. And the area keeps growing, new businesses keep popping up, so this park is both an oasis of greenery and a meeting point. There's a tiny dog park inside, plenty of benches, a playground and a lovely fountain that works sometimes. When it does, it's simple but adorable (looks even better at night, with colored lights). Ah! There's a carousel as well. The thing is that, because it's surrounded by tourist traps and trendy restaurants, it can also attract a lot of dangerous elements. At night, I would recommend not circling the block by yourself, especially if it's a weekday. Costa Rica and Armenia street are pretty safe, but Malabia and specially Nicaragua, which is pretty dim, are not. Better safe than sorry! Just wait until morning. Having said that, I quite like it. I think it's improved over the years and it can still get even better. There's a fair/market thing during the weekends, which can be charming for those who like that kind of thing. Those who don't are gonna get irritated at the slow foot traffic and the push and shove of other pedestrians. It's really nice, and I like going there just to sit and look at the fountain while I'm waiting for a friend, even at night. I know it's a bit risky, but such is life.
