Basically I didn't like the 18 hole due to the layout and lack of trees (sound stupid) also it's very open and the wind affects the ball loads! The 9 hole is basic and could do with updating as the greens are poor and the tee boxs aren't well maintained, I've yet to try the pitch and putt but hear it's good, the restaurant in my opinion isn't the best but the food was ok, nothing to run back to but due to a special offer they have it got eaten lol

We played the whole course unnoticed but ran for our lives when we heard the words "boys" being yelled from the clubhouse direction! Fortunately I have been back in more recent times in more legitimate circumstances! This is a fairly standard local gold course, with nothing really that special going for it. The fairways and greens are well kept which is good, but the fairways are sometimes very narrow and unless you know the course it is sometimes difficult to know where to go. On the plus side a round here is as cheap as it gets in the world of golf! My best advice for people driving by is to watch their cars, as a bad shank on the very first tee could result in your car getting its windscreen swiftly smashed!

This is a public golf course open to anyone who owns a set of clubs. Its a 9 hole course at par 3 for each hole ( I averaged 7, which I was quite proud of being a complete novice) . The range has 27 flood lit bays that aim out onto 200+ yards of distance markers and greens. It also has 10 - 15 outdoor bays in the summer as well. The golf course is a challenge to any golfer starting out. It is tricky enough to be enjoyable, but not too hard as to make you want to sell your clubs and take up fishing. It gets very busy at weekends with parents taking their kids out to practice, so I would suggest a weekday visit would be best if you do not want to queue.

My brother and I have been flirting with the notion of starting with golf recently, and I've got to about third base relatively whilst my brother is stuck at first! In order to accelerate his progression he took me down here to try and look round. He was able to get some cheap lake balls here and also a large golfing net for practising your swing. The staff were very helpful in talking us through how to set up and use it, as we felt it would be better to get a cheap net that we could practice on for longer rather than getting stuck paying at a driving range with the judging glares of others and wasting shanked balls! They have a wide range of bags, shows, clothing and all golf clubs which are out of my range until I win the lottery, become a corporate bigwig or kill someone super rich. Hopefully all three will occur, would be an interesting future!
