Available All the Time Flavor Guide

Lady Yum is a luxury macaron shop located in Bellevue Square Mall. They sell macarons of all flavors and colors, including 16 all-time flavors, 3 seasonal flavors, and 2 rotating monthly flavors (at least according to their flyer). It's like going to an ice cream store. While I've never stepped into Lady Yum, I've passed by it multiple times while walking through the mall. A couple of my friends decided to gift me Lady Yum macaron variety boxes as a birthday gift this past month. As someone who bakes and has also been to the original macaron store, Laduree, in France, I can honestly say that while they are pretty, they are super sweet even by American standards- especially the outer cookie (the fillings were surprisingly less sweet). And they're not cheap either as they go for at least $3 a cookie. Out of the flavors I tried, the REESES PEANUT BUTTER CUP and the COCONUT macarons were the best as they had the strongest flavor and were the least sweet. The ESPRESSO FUDGE came in third as it had a rich chocolate inside, but lacked strong coffee flavor. And the monthly BLACK MAGIC (activated charcoal with a coconut and cornflake filling) was intriguing, but wasn't as good as the coconut flavor as it had a strong licorice flavor to it. The VANILLA, SMORES, and seasonal PEAR FRANGIPANE were extremely sweet and would not recommend. Overall, Lady Yum is a cute and colorful store- I can see why people would want to use them for catering and gifts. However, at their current price, I would rather go for Frans chocolate caramels just down the street, which are pricey, but much more within my sugar limits. Overall: 3/5 for macarons

Yum! The macaroons are amazing! Never dissapointed in them, unless I accidentally get a coconut one but that's my fault for not reading the descriptions. Staff is friendly, and know all the details about their different flavors. This location is so cool! With a big chandelier, fun chairs, and neat decor. Their price may seem high, but they are average for shops that sell macaroons, and their flavors are top tier!!

Pairing some bubbly with macarons? GENIUS! The staff were so friendly and helpful. They had some nice happy hour specials for the adults. So many flavors to choose from. I really enjoyed the fruity pebble.

Loving the special seasonal flavors for fall. I couldn't resist, so treated myself to a 10 pack. Really excited to try them all! I really love the ambiance and set up at this specific location. It's so inviting!

Very good experience for me. It was looking like I entered princess house. I tried macroons and it was too good. Service was good and the ambiance desrves a kiss. I enjoyed

Love how centrally located this is in the mall. Easy parking, you are in/out with your yummy macaroons. This place has evolved with their menu, you can enjoy macaroons along with some bubbles or wine selections. Cute spot to hang out with friends etc. macaroons as always are delish and they keep adding new flavors. Love coming here and flavors never disappoint.

It's a bit difficult to not get awed by the ambience in here given Lady Yum is mostly known for their macaroons. Whether you like the macaroons or not largely depends on which flavour you select. It can be a game of chance if you don't know what you want. I took a coffee flavour and I can promise you it was so so good. My friends took some other flavour and they found it to be over-sweet. But one thing they are consistent on is that even we came here late in the evening,.the dough of macaroons felt very fresh.

Lady Yum is located on the 2nd floor of Bellevue Square. A large display case filled with macarons is in the center of the shop, and a variety of flavors are lined up in a dazzling array of colors. I selected pear frangipane, toasted coconut, smores, strawberry, and raspberry chardonnay. Service was fast and friendly, and the wait was minimal. Macarons were sweet and crisp, and they are priced at $2.50 each, best for an occasional treat or a colorful sugary gift.

Yummy macarons! Love their store aesthetic, super cute and fancy. Their staff seemed nice and service is quick, if there's no line. Their macarons are great, crisp shell and moist inside. Lovely cream in the middle that doesn't feel like it's too much. The Lemon was a perfectly tart dessert--loved the lemon curd in the middle. The Raspberry Chardonnay was delicious, the jam nicely complements the cream. The Mother of Pearl was amazing, I loved all the flavors of the lime, coconut, and lychee! Can't wait to try their other flavors!

Gluten-free dessert heaven. These are made from almond flour, so gluten-free folks can have almost every single one they offer. Still be sure to ask since there are a few exceptions where they have a flavor with a certain cookie and it, for example I do not know how they make the flavors so true to the actual flavor they say they are. It's incredible. I absolutely love the texture of the cookie and the filling. While they are a little expensive, they are definitely a nice treat to have now and then. The shop is always nice and clean and has fun little items you can buy like candles and syrups, etc. so be sure to take a look at those Every time I go, staff is very friendly. These make a great gift since it's something that people don't always treat themselves to and if they do, they often go with flavors that are a little bit more safe or known to them. So it's fun to get them a big selection of different things that maybe they wouldn't typically try. While vanilla is a very plain flavor, I would definitely recommend you try it at least once because the texture of the cookie and the filling is definitely different than all of the others. it's super soft and creamy. I typically would never ever ever ever choose vanilla, but it's my favorite because of the texture. I know you will love it!!

    Champagne and macaron special $5

First time at this mall and came across Lady Yum, it looked unique so we came in and decided to give them a try. We were immediately greeted by the owner I believe. She was friendly and attentive and informed us they do catering as well as have upcoming paint and sip events. The store is unique with its decor and merchandise selection. They sell seasonal flavored macarons as well as their regular flavors in addition to gift baskets and small champagnes. I got a glass of champagne and a pear (seasonal) macaron for $5 (all day special). The combination of the macaron and subtly sweet champagne complemented each other perfectly. The macaron tasted like a sweet juicy pear. Definitely recommend and will be back!

$5 Macaron & Bubbly Special - limited time special

It had been one of those weeks at work. I had heard about the $5 Macaron & Bubbly Special Lady Yum offered. Located in Bellevue Square, you walk in and it is such a pretty parlor with a beautiful variety of macarons. After some debate, I selected a macaroon, my brut and picked a comfy chair in the chair to relax and enjoy my treat. The shop is set up with the display in the center and intimate sitting arrangements with comfortable chairs. Just pretty, similar to what you would find in a parlor or sitting room. What I find different about the Lady Yum macaroons is they are light, flavorful without being overly sweet and a little chewy. Not all macaroons are created equally and these are definitely tasty. They have a menu with multiple flavor options. Some very basic and others more unique. I have a blackberry, mint macaroon and it was delicious. I ended up bringing home a box to share. The hardest part was deciding which flavors to select. I would definitely come back

I was pleasantly surprised (and amused) to find their macarons with custom printing at the "REVIVE I-5" booth at the University Street Fair. I was amused enough to write a separate review for them. The quality of the artwork and print colors are fantastic and vibrant with the rainbow colors. Please see photo. If I was interested in custom macarons, I would most definitely order some from Macadons. The flavor in this case is a simple vanilla, which has its charms, though I typically buy other flavors. The shell doesn't have the characteristic slight crispy, which is understandable since these are not fresh from the store. The inside is a very creamy filling that squished out on the sides as I bite down. Everyone has their own texture preferences. I personally like it less creamy. I normally buy their ice cream macarons, but these are still very good. The individual boxes make them great for small gifts.

I had a friend gathering to go to the same night, and wanted to bring some desserts so this place came to mind. For it being very wet and rainy, this place feels like a nice relief from all that with the bright lighting and the cafe-like feel of the place. There's a grassy wall near the back for photo ops, and there are some tables, window seating and front couch seating. They don't only sell macarons here; there's also coffee, tea, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. I got a baker's dozen, which comes with 12 randomly assorted regular-sized macarons in a small container. This particular one came with three limited flavors: red velvet, cran-orange and a pear-like flavor. They were marked separately on a card provided with the box that shows all their regular offerings of macaron flavors. This came to $36 compared to $40 for the same number of macarons if you wanted to choose specifically which flavors you wanted instead. I also got myself a Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich; each one is prepackaged and $8. Both people working at the counter were extremely helpful in helping me decide what to get, and explaining the differences between both sets. Flavor wise, I was not disappointed: - My Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich hit the spot! The macarons did not come apart too easily and I could still maintain the shape of the sandwich throughout. Ice cream consistency is great, and the Thai tea flavor is not too strong. The whole thing is not too sweet by itself either, and this goes for all of their macarons in general. From other visits to their stand during conventions, I recommend their Cap'n Crunch berry, lemon, peach and durian flavors for ice cream sandwiches. - One of my friends and I loved the Vietnamese coffee flavored macaron. Taste is strong like phin-brewed coffee and it didn't have much sweet of a taste, something that would not have done well for this flavor. - The cran-orange and blueberry flavors were our other favorites; both had tastes that reminded me a lot of their respective flavors. - The box also had dark chocolate, vanilla, ube, Thai tea, pistachio and salted caramel flavors. All were decent and tasty. What I like about this place is that the taste for all of their macarons is exactly as advertised and never bogged down by the flavor that macaron shells are usually full of. I can't eat too many of these at once since they can be too sweet over time, so I would save these for a group setting where you can share these. By themselves, they are a great way to get your sweet tooth the love it needs!
