Backing up for a second, I needed to have professional photos taken for a myriad of reasons. When I first started my search for a photographer, I was a little bit overwhelmed because I am not from this area, and there are so many photographers to choose from. Luckily for me, Still Heart Photography quickly stood out to me as the best option because of the clear quality of the photos and the outstanding Yelp reviews. I first reached out to Cicily via email on a Sunday, and I was surprised to see that she responded to me within one hour. We quickly moved to setting up a time and location for the photos. She was very flexible on scheduling, had great ideas for the perfect setting/location, and even knew what type of outfits would work best with the location. Her prices are very reasonable for a professional photographer, and she clearly takes her time in editing the photos to make sure they are the highest quality possible. More importantly, she is very personable and knows how to make you comfortable in front of the camera. I will definitely be using Still Heart for all of my photography needs in the future.

"Love at first sight"…read more If you are reading this review, you are probably wondering why the title? Well, that's exactly what happened when I stumbled across one of his pictures on social media. I immediately went to his profile, and I was completely in love with his pictures. I was blown away. I did not read his reviews online or did not know anyone who could have recommended him to me. I booked him right away for our engagement/10-year anniversary shoot and that same day I wasted no time and booked him for the wedding as well lol. He was the first one I booked even without having a venue or anything else. As I went to my vendors for the wedding when they asked who the photographer was everyone spoke incredible things about him, about his talent, professionalism, and how amazing he is and to think that all of this started based on one of his professional pictures on social media. His pictures were unique, artistic, and completely different to what you see out there, which was exactly what I was looking for. Then, once my husband and I meet him "we fell in love" lol literally. What's not to love? He has a great personality, approachable, professional, funny, adventurous, and cool. He is easy to work with and a true artist and a creator of magic with his lens. He truly loves what he does. However, it is the experience and service he provides to all his clients that are the most important for him. Which tells you a lot about who he is not only as a photographer but as a human being. Also, his staff is incredible. On the other hand, I must mention I am a (little) difficult to work with (lol). Picky, critical and I see everything, even the smallest details. The day of the shoot I was a bit nervous, but he made me feel comfortable, we were laughing, making jokes, and talking about life. Miguel made the experience unique, and unforgettable. It was our 10th year anniversary, and he even had a beautiful gift for us (engraved which I love) that I still have in our room. I cannot wait for our wedding. I am going to need all the laughs, I can get to calm my nerves lol. But most importantly, he will be by our side capturing the most incredible memories and sharing with us this special day. Your favorite and hottest couple (lollllllll) Yenny & Rudi

The happiness and joy the pictures of our engagement and wedding gave us is immeasurable! As soon as I saw Miguel's work I knew he was the one I wanted to hire for this special moment in our lives. When we met him, there wasn't a doubt in my mind that not only did he have a great talent but he was genuinely interested in giving the best of himself to making our pictures amazing. We did an engagement session in two different locations and Miguel and his assistant were very professional and consistently tried to make us feel comfortable all while listening to our ideas. He was very good at guiding us through the different poses. At our wedding, Miguel and his team took so many good shots before and during the wedding. They all had a great positive attitude and he had a good vision of what would be a great picture. We have two big metal prints hanging on our wall and an engagement album and wedding album. Everyone raves about how amazing all the photos look. I would recommend Miguel Ocque photography in a heartbeat!

One person that made my life easier during this time was Paul from Orange Candy. He met us at our venue, not once but twice in advance to discuss shots. He was open to my suggestions and responded to my constant emails about shots I saw on Pinterest and wanted to emulate. Day of the wedding he was super professional, showing up to my hotel room early and relaxing me with his joking nature and calmness. He took beautiful shots of me getting ready which I will treasure forever. Since we did not see the need for a limo to go 30 blocks from the hotel to the venue, Paul drove me to my wedding! What more can you ask for in a wedding photographer?! During the wedding he let me be the boss and was hands-off and let me tell him what I wanted pictures of (lots of dancing and partying). After the wedding he delivered exactly what he promised, images of my wedding edited and burned onto DVD's in a timely fashion. If I had to do it all over again there are some things I would change (my florist and event planner) but my photographer would definitely be Paul!!!
