The ladies in here are really nice. My son loves their white chocolate lemon cookies. They also have fairly good pizza. You can use card to pay but they require a minimum purchase of at least $5. Im not a fan of the remodel to modern. read more

I really enjoyed this store. We stopped here on a long ride on the Harley. The woman working was so kind. She greeted us like she knew us already. She knew other customers by their name that were coming & going. It had all kinds of food, grill items & candy you could need from a general store. She was making a delicious looking veggie pizza. Quite a few hot food options to choose from. We stopped in for soft serve which only chocolate is working right now but that was okay. Maybe next time :) Definitely a fun little stop if you're in the area. read more

We popped into the General Store around 7:00pm on a Saturday. The lady at the counter was super helpful & sweet. I had my dog with me, so I sat outside while my mom went in, looked around, picked out some items, & sat them on the main counter. Then we switched. I added my items to my mom's on the counter, ordered our pizza, & checked out. We sat outside on one of the benches with my dog until our pizza was ready. Within 10-15minutes our pizza was ready. There were a few covered picnic tables around back as well as a small park across the street with more covered picnic tables. But we decided to sit on the bench outside the General Store and eat. Definitely will be back. read more

We're at a conference in downtown Louisville, and wanting to get out of the city for a few hours, I found Laconia, Indiana on the map & set out. An hour later, I found myself in front of the Laconia General Store at noon. Inside, I stopped at the counter to ask for a sandwich - pickle pimento loaf, pepper jack cheese, whole wheat, and spicy mustard. That, plus a quart of water, set me back $7.75. A few minutes later, after perusing the historical articles under the glass tabletops, my *huge* sandwich was ready. Wow - two quarter-inch thick slices of meat, a quarter-inch thick slice of cheese, and two thick slices of bread! I took a leisurely drive down to the Ohio River, parked on top of a cliff on The Narrows Road, and enjoyed my meal along with a spectacular view of the lazy river. read more
