Day 6 in Paris. I got tired of French and Italian food and wanted something different. This place came up on my Yelp and it sure did not disappoint. The chef came to say hello and made some recommendations. All I wanted was a really hot pho - and it sure hit the spot!

Coming from California, we know Vietnamese cuisine very well. This spot gives them a run for their money. Had their imperial rolls and dumplings as starters. The absolute highlight was the beef phö. Very rich and natural broth with quality slices of beef. Staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The ambiance inside is very traditional Vietnamese with a mix of Parisian notes. Very happy to stumble across this restaurant as we were missing Asian cuisine.

Lemongrass marinated barbecued pork ribs--great flavor, but a bit overdone.

Our family, a group of five, went out to Lac Hong for dinner while visiting Paris. The appetizers of Banh Xeo (Vietnamese crepe) and the shrimp spring rolls were very fresh and nicely prepared. Our first entree was the duck o'range, and that was absolutely superb with a rich orange infused flavor; however, the next two entrees were disappointing. The barbecue pork spare ribs marinated in lemongrass were very tasty, but they were a bit dry. After that, we had a whole fried fish (something close to grouper as explained), that was a bit overcooked. It also had a very large bone that comprised about a third of the dish, so it was underwhelming. The service was very good and friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant even though the front door was partly blocked by a gate that had apparently been dented by a car or something. If I could give a 3.5 star rating, I think it would be fitting.

We visited Paris from SoCal where all the good Vietnamese food is. These 2 soup bowls is a MUST and will outdo any restaurant in SoCal!!! Family owned business where owner and her daughter came out to talk to us. Get this!! she normally makes Bun Rieu for special occasions only, but she made it just for us to try after coming back from Switzerland. We ate at this restaurant 3 times during our short stay in Paris. All I can say is Wow!! Thank you to Ms. Tuyết and her daughter Ngọc.

Came here on our honeymoon when we were craving a little something different after all the French food we'd been having. It's a small unassuming restaurant so we weren't sure what to expect at first. We had a fantastic meal with the absolute best service. It's run by a family and they took great care of us, gave suggestions, were so sweet and personable, and served us a delicious and satisfying meal. I highly recommend checking out Lac Hong!

I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did! My husband and I were craving Asian food after spending almost a week in France and I discovered this restaurant on Yelp. The coconut juice was so refreshing and exactly what I needed on an extremely hot and humid day, so I'm glad the owner suggested it as it wasn't on the menu. The dishes were flavored exceptionally well and unlike any Vietnamese food I've had - a twist on the classics! The pho broth had a slight kick to it and the meal did not taste heavy but was still very filling. There was plenty of seating when we arrived as it was around late afternoon. Highly recommend stopping by and wish we had something similar in the states!

Fantastic Vietnamese restaurant in Paris. Definitely worth a visit should you ever crave Vietnamese cuisine in Paris. The ambiance is great and the service is quick. No complaints whatsoever. Definitely recommend the Bánh Xèo (crispy Vietnamese shrimp crepes)

The decor and music playing in the background was perfect. My daughter and I had a wonderful dinner. The host was gracious and welcoming. The beef summer roll was refreshing and great as a starter. Then we ordered vegetables cooked in a hot pot. Delicious! I tried the BBQ beef and BBQ pork dishes. I highly recommend visiting this establishment.

So, let's start with what's important, if you are looking for something other than traditional French cuisine - look no further. I have been to a number of Vietnamese restaurants around the world and while I cannot vouch for within Vietnam - I can say that Lac Hong promises to delivery on both the food and the service. Family owned, it is run with the love of food and service. This review could not wait as I literally type this while eating a simple peeled mango, sipping on some beer, contemplating everything I just ate. Tuyet (Snow) is an owner, cook, and one of the sweetest women I have ever met in my life. She cares about feeding her patrons the best quality foods and flavors, this fact translating directly into the dish put in front of you and the smiles she presents when you tell her how delicious it is. Bao-Ngoc(Precious Pearl), Tuyet's daughter, and co-owner, could be the one placing that delicious food in front of you with both pride and confidence that the dish they may have helped you choose is one that you will not soon forget. I started with a dish named Banh Cuon (Vietnamese Ravioli), a rice flour ravioli filled with pork and black mushroom, then steamed and served with a garnish of aromatic touches like mint and shoots. Pour the accompanying sauce over it and close your eyes to enjoy the flavor explosion that's happens in that first bit. For my main course, I had the Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Pancake) with fresh crab and shrimp. This dish is different from the first in that it yields deep and rich flavors from the seafood and fried onions. Kick it up with a little heat to further enhance the flavors. The only way to describe this place is a must visit, and if you happen to go, make sure to say hello and Alex from NY sent you.

Next time I'm in Paris, I will return for another perfect meal. The owner family make you feel at home, and the food was just delicious.

The menu doesn't even have Vietnamese writing on it. It has Chinese characters. Led by misleading reviews I came here hoping for an authentic Vietnamese meal during my Paris travels, but my trek in the rain to find this place was not rewarded. The interior was tight. You may have to move tables or ask other patrons to get up for you to squeeze into your seat. My boyfriend had the Soupe Tonkinoise au Bouef et Boulettes (11€) which in Vietnamese is a Pho Tai Bo Vien and I had the Riz Luc Lac au Boeuf (12€) which in Vietnamese should be the Com Bo Luc Lac. The meal was affordable and it tasted okay but my issue is the lack of authenticity. Com Bo Luc Lac usually has onions and tomatoes with the beef. This was only beef and there was no sauce glaze on it. Also restaurant usually served it with a side of salad. Vietnam is an agricultural country and most of our dishes usually have a plethora of veggies. My boyfriend isn't even a picky guy but he said his Pho was below average. I'm not sure why this place has great ratings... maybe there was a recent change in ownership and it's no longer what it used to be.

Sometimes while traveling you just need some pho in your life. Found this place close by to where I…read morewas staying and it was overall pretty delicious. No rare steak option for pho which I found odd, but the meat inside my pho was pretty good even though it already came cooked. Ate dinner on the cute patio space which was also lovely given the weather was perfect. Servers were definitely hustling and were quick to fill my water and bring out the food.

Yea, I'm in Paris and should be eating at all these Michelin restaurants but you can't change cravings. I searched for pho and found Com Home. It wasn't too far from our hotel so I decided to check them out. The place is a cozy hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant but it's full of charm. They offer Vietnamese cuisine to dine in and take out. The owner is this sweet old lady. She visited Hawai'i about 5 years ago to celebrate her mother-in-law's 100th birthday. During her two week stay, she picked up 3 pieces of art to hang on her walls in the restaurant. She knew I was going to order pho when I walked in so I ordered a steak and meatball pho for dine in and a Grandma Bu Lac Lac Shanking Beef to go for Mink. The pho had a bed of fresh bean sprouts on the bottom of the bowl with the thick cut noodles in the middle and the beef with meatballs on top. She provides a lemon wedge, a homemade chili sauce, hoisin sauce and fresh cut Thai chili. Mink said her order was really good as she devoured almost all of it. Friendly customer service with comfort food. Support a small local businesses near the famous L'Arc de Triomphe.

We came in on a Monday at around 12:45. There are only about 6 tables (2 inside and 4 outside) and there were 2 other tables dining there at the time. Service is very slow, understandably so since it's a one-woman show. This might be okay if the food was good but it was not and it was pretty expensive for (less than) standard Vietnamese food. To start, we ordered the chicken cha gio. This was actually really good and definitely the best thing we ate here. It was perfectly fried and the filling was super flavorful. It comes with fish sauce and a side of a really spicy and delicious chili garlic hot sauce. For mains, we had the beef pho and tomato rice with beef cubes. The noodles aren't fresh pho noodles but seemed like the dry ones. The broth itself tasted like they added beef bouillon in it. Also, I don't know if this is a French or actual Vietnamese thing, but it didn't come with any bean sprouts, cilantro, or jalapeño. It was also half the size than what I'm used to at home so I left still feeling hungry. The tomato rice wasn't actually tomato rice. It was just white rice sprinkled with some tomato seasoning. Beef was lackluster as well. There are plenty of other Vietnamese restaurants in Paris. I would suggest going to those.
