Four stories that walk you chronologically from Neanderthal artifacts from the area, weapons and coins from medieval times (even someone's "piggy bank" of iron coins found buried 8' underground in a treasure chest), French Revolution writings, and even a movie cataloging the hippy 1970s in the area. And it's free to visit in an ancient church built on Roman ruins. The bookstore has an incredible inventory of short historical books about any topic or era of interest from the region. Don't miss it, just steps from the Grenoble art museum.
