I am still in shock of what I experienced today as I went into this location for a pre employment drug screen. I've used labcorp locations all over the state and even in Florida, I've never experienced this! I still have my maiden name on my drivers license, it's been that way for a while, no issues, Covid has kept the dmvs from being easy to get in and out of. However, the black lady at this location told me she couldn't perform my pre employment drug screen with my married name being on the paper from my employer and my drivers license having my maiden name, I was confused as I just had a pre employment screen at the labcorp in Greensboro 2 weeks ago (for a job I ended up not accepting because I got a better offer) & she told the other white lady she could do my test, but she would not. I had my social security card WITH my married name, she said that was not acceptable. Finally Lisa (the white lady) called my employer and made Him DESCRIBE my looks to perform the test. I was in tears! I had everyone in the lobby looking my way, I have never had any issues with my drivers license maiden name keeping me from getting a pre employment drug screen! In the last year I've had 6 different drug screens for employers and NO ISSUES! This was a case of reverse racism (yes that's a thing!) the black lady was enjoying watching me CRY and beg them to help me get this drug screen submitted today so I could start my new job sooner than later. I told her that I could not survive without this job and she seemed to enjoy that. She liked watching me get emotional. I've never been traumatized like this in my lifetime! My husband was going to bring my marriage certificate but they said it had to be a photo of me. Why did the labcorp in Greensboro not give me ANY issues 2 weeks ago?? Or what about the location off Hawthorne that I used my drivers license at just last summer for a pre employment screen? No issues there either! I'm in complete shock at what I went through just to get a job. I was treated like complete trash! I don't know what the black ladies name is but she was working with Lisa Scott, neither of them were helpful but I have never seen anyone refuse to test someone and act like I was doing something wrong?? I was just trying to get my stuff completed for my new job that I desperately need. This was racial profiling. I'm sick to my stomach. No one apologized to me. The whole lobby was looking at me. I'm sure if I had of had black skin she would have had no issues with me, but because I'm blonde, blue eyed and white she embarrassed me. This should be illegal. read more
