I have only been to one lab testing facility before this trip, and this company and service was a better experience than the other. I easily made an appointment online the day before, but found that the appointment wasn't necessary or even utilized. It appears to be first come, first serve. There is one woman running the entire show. I did not catch her name, but she was very friendly. She manned the entire office by herself and did a good job of it. I do think that if there was more than one person working, the process would be vastly expedited, but I'm guessing labs like this aren't constantly flooded with people so it may be unnecessary. The facility appeared very clean and she was a good needle "sticker." Apparently, I am blessed with good veins, so take that as you will. I was in and out in a little under an hour with one patient finishing up as I walked in and another in front of me. I went first thing in the morning which I think most people tend to do, so if you're able to make your appointment later, I would do so. I'll definitely use this facility again if I need lab work done.

I arrived at 7:50 AM due to traffic and they were already behind with 3 appointments still waiting. 8:30 AM rolls around and I noticed he is calling up patients who came in after me. I go up to ask what is going on and he said that he didn't forget about me but the others had appointments. I said that I did as well and he goes "Well you were late". I explained it was 5 minutes due to traffic and he goes "Well am I wrong? " After explaining that I have been fasting and need to complete these test for 3+ more hours while fasting, I simply wanted to check to see if we could get the tests started. He replies that he can't take back the fact that I was late and then proceeded to talk to the patient that he brought back ahead of me (who had an 8:10 appointment) about me in front of the rest of the waiting room. VERY unprofessional and rude. Finally, when he calls me up to the front desk, he tells me they don't have my paperwork, then makes a phone call and shows me paperwork for the wrong patient. Having experienced once before where they didn't get my paperwork, I prepared ahead of time to call Quest in advance to confirm they had my paperwork and they even told me they did but yet they somehow didn't have it again (which I had to wait over an hour to find out since he refused to bring me up!). In the end, I left and went to a different lab. Avoid this place at all costs! Rude staff, long waits due to a one man show who is on a power trip, and you can never get a person on the phone for questions.

I got a new job which meant I had to go pee in a cup; so I choose this LapCorp because they were open on a Friday and late enough for me to make it there. I really wanted my sample to be fresh! And it was! When I arrived I was able to scan my license in the express check-in then I waited. I was called to the back a few minutes later and the lady working was nice. I was able to get in and out in no time.

I have anxiety about the whole thing because it was always a multiple poke situation during pregnancy and many "you're a hard stick," comments. Bernadette got it on the first try, she's a calming presence with a voice that should be recorded for reading children's stories. She was great. I have one more blood draw in a few weeks and I don't think my anxiety will be that bad...and I really hope I get Bernadette again.
