I've been using Labahns for 73 years. That's 3/4th of a century! WOW! I've seen a lot of changes and met a lot of vets. I took my dog in last week for a dental cleaning. They gave me an estimate before I took her in, and knew what the charges were going to be. Dr Hillard had to do a couple of procedures that weren't added to the estimate, so she didn't charge me for them, for that I am very grateful. I'm living on social security, and I have to save up before I can bring in my baby girl. Dr. Hillard saved me about $200.00. I've been with friends that used different vets and the prices at Labahns are comparable with other Vet clinics. I am very pleased with the way they treat my dogs and will continue to use Labahns as long as I can drive the distance. Dr. Hillard, if you are reading this, I want you to know how much I really appreciate you and your staff. If you decide to expand and put in a clinic in Van Buren, I'll be first in line at your door. Do NOT TAKE YOUR BABIES HERE. I took my precious girl there and after spending over ,200 I told them to keep her bi couldn't loose herm she informed me she should be fine but if she still acted such to bring her back the following day. I didn't have a chance because my baby died in my arms at 3 that morning. I had lost my husband and because of them, I lost her and then they tried to lie and told my daughter I refused to let them keep her. I called them and told them what I thought. I have used this clinic for over 30 years. Doctors have come and gone over that time, and I have liked some better than others. Yes, now they are a young bunch, but I feel like my dog gets great care. They remember her from visit to visit and seem very caring. I like the walk in hours, too. read more

Was told 30-40 min wait time. I've been sitting for over 1.5 hours. Multiple people were seen BEFORE us that checked in AFTER us. Then as told that if I wanted to go back with my dogs that my children would have to wait out in the car (on a very busy and dangerous street) or sit in the lobby alone. I'm a single mother. Neither of the options where great. Then instead of privacy to discuss my pets, I was forced to talk with the vet out in the lobby with multiple people around. I won't be coming back. Been a good long while since I'd been in since the new owner took over. It once was the best around in 3 counties. Since the old vet sold out, the prices all got jacked, they don't work with those of us that have used this place for years anymore.... good luck guys. More expensive and some new things on the list with a price.... WHAT IS A .75 cent dispensing fee? Do not take your animals here. We were told we could bring our cat in for a simple 30 second nail trim and waited in the lobby 25 minutes and then in a "room" for another 30 minutes. They are very unprofessional here and have only one vet on duty and overlap appointments. The vet had pants on that hung on the ground and had facial acne. She looked very unclean and unprofessional. After waiting almost an hour we took our cat and walked out. TERRIBLE place! read more

I went to Labahn veterinary to get my pregnant dog, Bayleigh, a C- section. The vet told use she'd be having two puppies and planned on having the C-section on a Friday. We knew she might need to stay overnight for extra care after surgery, but the vet insisted to do it that day. They went through with the surgery, and they did not call us when it was done. They told us they would call when they were done. They did not. We got the two puppies and Bayleigh. She could not walk straight from the anesthesia. They told us that she might throw up a bit but she would be fine. They did not give us any after care instructions, and hadn't informed us months before in her pregnancy that she would need extra calcium. We had to research all this information ourselves, despite asking the vet for anything that we should do. On Saturday, 24 hours after the surgery, the runt puppy died. Her breathing had been week and she simply didn't make it. That was not as surprising as what happened next. Bayleigh, the mother of the pups, was throwing up constantly, wouldn't eat, and couldn't keep anything down. Her temperature was going up and we were very worried about if she was suffering from a fever. Her staples from where her wound was during surgery started leaking a fluid, and staples seemed to be a bit loose. We used cool rags to cool the mother dog down and went to try and find some calcium or nutrients to give her. We couldn't find any, even at Petsmart. We went back home and did everything we could to get the mother hydrated and cooled down. She seemed to be okay for the time being. That Sunday morning, she was so limp that she couldn't stand up on her own. Her breathing was so weak. She was driven to a 24 hour vet, while a family member of hers tried to give her CPR. She was gasping for air. When she got to the 24 hour vet and she was taken to the back, they informed us that she died. She appeared to be dehydrated, and there is a chance that the first vet didn't get all of the mothers placenta out, which could cause an infection. My father has breaded dogs for years and never had the mother died after a surgery or giving birth. Pictured below is a photo of Bayleigh, who is now dead, 48 hours after going to Labahn. Please, don't go to this vet, for your dogs safety. We will never go there again and regret letting them even touch our dogs. We miss Bayleigh dearly and her pup, we are trying I take care of her one other pup now, and hopefully the father of the puppy can help. But Bayleigh is dead, and Labahn contributed. Love this place...they do not take appointments but usually the wait is less than places that do. Most always two vets on duty. Our dog got ill in Branson and we rushed him to this clinic on a Saturday morning. The vet stayed late to be sure of a diagnosis and then on Sunday came to our house to give an intermuscular shot. No charge. She saved our dog! read more

I have taken my dogs here several times over the past few years. I have nothing but wonderful service here. They do not take appointments (they are walk-in only) and they are very affordable. There is only one doctor working on Saturday's (the rest of the week, I believe there are two or three). Everyone acted very professional, courteous, and dressed appropriately. My experiences with this clinic for more than 20 years has been favorable and I believe that the new owners are professionally trained, train the office staff adequately, and treat the pets with the care they would their own.
