After 6pm they offer a large open buffet with many different types of bruschettas, frittatas, pasta, meatballs (polpette) etc. Buffet + drink costs only 8 euros, and everything is delicious. I figured this place would be pretty legit based on the how crowded it was inside in the early afternoon. Locals were packed inside, but we managed to slip into a standing spot at the bar. Ordered two macchiatos (espresso with a dollop of cream) from the no-nonsense barista. I was surprised at the beautiful coffees we were served. Great care went into making these, and you could taste the expertise. Lots of tasty looking pastries were offered as well, but we didn't order any. This is a great place to stop for an afternoon espresso.
