If you want decent customer service, don't come here. Our furniture, while beautiful , arrived broken after a 6 month wait. Calling customer service required hours on the phone. Waited two more months for a repair. The part was delivered with no notification, in a cardboard box, and was left in the rain - thank goodness our neighbor rescued it. The repairman was nice but he refused to take away the broken part, which was much too large for our garbage can. We had to haul it to the store, where the sales women were kind, but the manager was rude and didn't care. They're still more expensive than the cheaper stores, but they're no better. read more

I cannot say enough about my experience at La-Z-y Boy furniture in Temecula, CA! We moved to Murrieta about two months ago and were in need of furniture. When I went to their beautiful store, I had Anthony Allain help me with what I needed. He was so kind and thoughtful, and for every piece of furniture I liked, he patiently looked to see if it was available! I love how La-Z-y Boy has a big inventory especially with how things are right now. I was able to get everything I needed--and ALL of it is so well made and beautiful--just what we wanted!!! Delivery was right on time and the movers were so hardworking and nice; they explained how to use the mattress on the sofa sleeper and put everything just where we needed it. Horrible quality and overpriced merchandise. Even with warranty no one would assist or help me just got the run around. We are barely ever home, no pets (we babysat a cat for a few months but he did not do this, this was like this before he came) and our children are older they pretty much stay in their rooms so this is just how crappy the quality is no jumping or horseplay on furniture. I called la z boy and the warranty people (useless) almost a year after I purchased to express my concerns and they said it's wear and tear. So frustrating feeling embarrassed when company comes!! DO NOT BUY A LAY-Z-Boy recliner before you read the warranty info. I bought one of their electric models 3 years ago and it literally collapsed from under me. Checking out the warranty which was supposed to be 5 years, I find that labor is only one year. I paid $1000.00 for it and I really expected to last me many years. The 5-year warranty was one of the things on which I relied in purchasing. They tell me that I need to bring the chair from Palm Springs to Temecula for service, a 45 mile trip. I am disabled and I cannot do that. The whole thing has soured me on Lay-Z-Boy and would not and could not recommend their products to anyone. read more

Ordered our sofa 6 months ago! We were told originally was only gonna take 3 months! This week we finally got the phone call (6 months later with no updates)that our two white sofas were finally finished and ready for delivery. When the delivery man got to our house I walked outside as he was pulling it off the truck and it was a charcoal sofa. The sales person ordered the wrong color and since the receipt doesn't have the name of the color we had no idea. We refused the order and went to the store. They said they were going to work on it and let me know the next day. Never heard anything back from them so went to store again and was told the district manager was gonna be in that day and he was supposed to call us. We still have not heard anything back from them. They have full payment for sofa and love seat, and 5 days pass and still have not heard one word back. We were told "It will be another 3 months if that doesn't work you could cancel" When you pay the money for a la-Z-Boy sofa you'd expect better service. Steer clear of this place. Great in-store representatives...overpriced, low quality products...horrible service. My in-store experience was top notch. The sales staff was extremely helpful all the way to ensuring my delivery was done quickly. That's where it ends. I purchased a Power Recliner with lumbar and neck movements. After several months (It was just about 1 year), the chair started malfunctioning. It no longer returns to a full sitting position without manual assistance. When reclining, it makes a loud popping sound. When I looked under the chair, I could see that the reclining mechanism was severely twisted and distorted. It's made of very flimsy material - that I could easily bend with a couple of fingers. I called LaZBoy for support and was told I had to pay $109/hr for a technician to "look" at my chair. If he had to order parts, i would have to pay for additional time when he returned to install the parts. I reluctantly paid the $109 for the appointment. The day before my appointment, the technician called me to confirm that he would come between 4-6 PM. I told him the operator promised me a morning appointment. The guy became agitated and began yelling at me. To paraphrase he said "Look, that's all i have, do you want the appointment or not?". He was so rude, I didn't feel comfortable letting him come to my house so called to get a different person. The operator told me It would be another month to get a new appointment, then said "I'm going to work on getting you a better appointment date, then call you back"...never happened! I'm now trying to get a refund of my $109. read more

This place is the worst! The manager was awful when he was needed after the salespeople were horrible -- they will lie, cheat and steal for a sale. The problems obviously come from above, since when you bring issues to higher levels they do all the same things. Our salesperson knew her product, what price we wanted to pay and was helpful with fabric selection. We were so happy with our decision to purchase a hide-a-bed love seat (which we needed) and the sale was decent so we ordered two matching chairs at the same time. I don't remember what our quoted delivery time was offhand but it came when promised. We've been using the chairs everyday in our living room and they are holding up fine. I have to hold back one star because the padding and comfort of the chairs we replaced were superior to the La-Z-Boy chairs, so only time will tell if we got good value for the money. There was not a sub category for a complaint. The customer services from the Temecula store was really bad, even when I contacted the manager. Four months later, I finally got my couch. Not one phone call from the store, all inquiries were made by me. Even after I complained to the manager he said he would call me back and did not. I can understand why this store has such bad reviews. We purchased two chairs from them and have had nothing but trouble. I tried to cancel the order and they insisted they were special order and we had to take them. When they delivered, one chair was incorrect and had to be returned. So I had told them not to bother correcting the order as I wanted it canceled. I have not heard a thing and it appears they are honored my cancellation. Problem is they will not refund my money. I have called a dozen times and always told I need to talk with the manager whom never seems to be in. I have left several messages requesting a call back with no results. Honestly they should be shut down. Very dishonest people. I find it hard to believe that head their quarters does not care about their review. We recently purchased two chairs from the Temecula store. It turned out that there were some issues with comfort for my wife, who has severe back, shoulder and neck issues. I was already to battle to exchange the chairs....but to my delighted surprise, our sales person Linda, not only found a way to exchange our chairs for ones that worked better for us, but saved us about $50.00. Linda was patient as we looked for the new chairs, and made sure that this time, we were happy and satisfied. A friend of the family went to pick up a chair that we had been waiting on for months. Prior to him coming they unwrapped the plastic off chair so he could inspect it. He sent me pics so I could tell it had been tightly wrapped. They let him leave there with a 1,000.00 chair in the back of a dirty truck unwrapped, uncovered, and to top it off it was about to rain. Now granted the person that picked up for me should of thought about these things as well, however since he didn't did they find it amusing as he drove off with the chair completely unprotected? I wonder if they had a good laugh? Because they didn't offer any advice, assistance, or wisdom? They could of been a little more helpful to him seeing that he was young and we had no idea that 45 minutes away they were expecting rain? So between 7:00-12:00p.m. Day before Christmas Eve he was trying to get the chair to our house not ruined. No stores were open to buy plastic coverings. So he spent $65.00 on shower curtain liners, sheets, blankets ect at a T.j. Max just to try and get it back to our house in pouring down rain. I'm just thinking this stores employees could of offered some wisdom to this young fellow. Instead I spent 4 hours and money trying to help him in another city over the phone. Ron the manager was very knowledgeable about the product so we bought two leather recliners. They were delivered 3 days later. I noticed the delivery guys were in a hurry to leave so I signed and off they went. When my wife got home she sat in one of the recliners and it wouldn't swivel and when I turned it over the hard wood frame was broken. It looks like it was dropped from the truck. When I called the store I bought it from they directed me to customer service, I was advised it would take 3 weeks for a service truck to come fix it or they could send me the wooden frame and I could fix it. I am sitting here getting ready to tear this chair apart and am thinking this is not the same Company that I have dealt with in the past. Buyers Beware. Problem with Delivery. The couch and love seat did not match-wrong couch was delivered. I saw this after the drivers left. Customer Service told me that they had to send somebody to inspect the couch before anything can be done. The inspectors only come around once a week in this area. They were not available this coming Wednesday and I had to wait an additional week. I couldn't get anybody to come and inspect the couch for almost 2 weeks. I live 5 minutes from the store that I bought my furniture. You would think that Chuck, the Manager would come over and inspect my furniture. The store is never busy. I can even walk to the store from my house, but I need to wait almost 2 weeks until an "Inspector" can come to my house. I work during the week when they want to come and inspect the coach. HUGE PROBLEM!!! Very inconvenient for me. I called Chuck, the manager at the Temecula and he told me that there is nothing he can do because he is in sales. He told me if I was to return the couch I would be charged with 30% restocking fee, delivery charge and one more fee. I would have been happy if I could have returned the couch with no charge to me and gone to another store to get another couch. I have parties at my house and this is so inconvenient for me. I would not recommend the Temecula Lazy Boy store, especially if you are buying over the holidays. Lazy Boy has very poor customer service if you have any problems. read more

I bought a Liberty Power Recliner 10/10/13 and it was delivered 10/13/13. On 10/15/I3 (2 days later) I called and told them I wanted to return it because it was uncomfortable. I had major back surgery in August and was needing something easy to get out of. I was told by the mgr. I would have to pay 30% for restocking and that I needed time to "break it in" Hello! . . . When I buy a new chair I expect it to meet my need for comfort when delivered. Mr Morana, mgr, was very rude and argumentative, but finally said he would refund all but the $139 for the delivery and pickup fees. I am grateful for that, but would not care to do business with them again. I do believe LAZBOY is a good product, but his treatment of customers at this store was not acceptable. read more

I can't believe the change in this store since the last time I was here. The showroom was so much cleaner with all new furniture. I was so impressed with my salesman, Dylan. He taught us how the chairs are made. I didn't purchase, but am saving up to get hubby a recliner for Father's Day. Dylan knew which chair would fit my tall husband best, usually his feet hang way off the end, but the chair he showed us was extra big. (a recliner) She showed me one recliner and it didn't work for me. She ask what I didn't like about at. I told her of my back problem, and she showed me several other models until I found the one that worked for me. She showed the different materials that I could get for that model. I had no pressure to add things I didn't want. I was surprised that when she returned the price was less than I expected because the model I wanted was on sale. STOP! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LA-Z-BOY! I ordered a recliner on April 9th that was suppose to take 6 weeks or less to be delivered. I'm still waiting... they never called me around the 6 week mark so I called them and was told that it wasn't scheduled to be delivered for another 3 weeks with would make it 9 weeks after the initial order was placed. I said this was unacceptable. Then they called a few days later to schedule a delivery the following week. They give me a few hour time window and 30 minutes before the window was up I heard the truck pull up. They sat outside for about 20-30 minutes before they came in and handed me a phone. Someone from the warehouse said the packaging was correct but when the drivers opened up the box it was the wrong recliner. Well the drivers never even opened the back of the truck. The following day I called for an update on the delivery and they said they had in their notes that they opened up the box and I refused it because it didn't have power. Not the case, again they never even opened up the back of the truck let alone bring it inside my house. I requested a refund but they said they didn't know if that could happen but someone would call me. I was assured that if they couldn't give me a refund they would put a rush delivery which is four weeks. No one ever called and that was May 26th. Still no call and today is four weeks. I bought a set of leather furniture. recliner and sofa. expensive I might ad. did not mind the price since it was what I was looking for. paid for extended warranty. Sales person assured me it was to be covered for 5 years. Big mistake!!! 8 months in to owning my leather furniture, it starts to fade. Contacted store manager, couldn't do anything. Contacted the corporation and it agree to have the recliner replaced...except the material and color I purchased 9 months (by now) prior was no longer available. We looked at a recliner and went back the next day to purchase it. The sales person checked and said it was not available but after checking with the manager said that I could take the floor model. After checking it over, I said I would take it. The price was high but was the one I wanted. He said it would take a few minutes to get the paperwork together to release the chair. After about 10 minutes he came back and said the manager changed her mind and would not sell it. I wasted my gas, my time, and got nothing. Bought a $4000+ sectional on Feb 16,2015. After 8 weeks was told the piece was in and would be delivered. Then got a call that the sectional came in in 2 different fabrics. The sectional that had the wrong fabric needed to re-ordered. I asked if could be rushed since I had already waited 8 weeks. After numerous phone calls and going into the store, I was told that it could not be rushed and would have to go through normal procedures. It took another 8 weeks to come in. After MANY phone calls to the store, I received a different person every time. I felt that some type of discount should have been given. I wished I had read these review prior to buying a reclina-rocker and power recliner sofa. Sales person was very nice but that was the only part that was nice. We had to pay 1/2 down which was no problem. I had to call them to find when my furniture would be ready and I found out that it had been sitting there in their warehouse. They said that in order to get the sofa and recliner I had to pay in FULL for the other items items on the order which they did not even yet have. So I have to pay in full for items that I do not have and they can't give me an exact date, only an approx. date that they think they might have them. We have no problem paying in full for the items we did get. Any store that demands that you pay in full for items that you have not received is very questionable practice. This is totally nonsense! I do not want to pay 100% for items that I have not received and Lazy boy can't tell me the date that I will receive them. We want to buy 'American Made'. I cannot tell you if the furniture is good quality or not. We don't have it! La-Z-Boy here in Temecula CA is one of the few offering a large selection of American made furniture. Sales experience was fine. Salespeople are knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered over $7,000 of American Made furniture with a requirement that it be delivered in 8 weeks or less. Family visiting and kids need use of our new sectional with pullout bed. Call after call with little to no response. It is now 10 weeks with an empty room and no place for family. Calls made again with no response. Visited the showroom and met with manager to find out the next day he no longer works there. What the hell happened to American pride and ethics? We felt proud to buy American and now I'm second-guessing if better off with imported goods. Currently we have no idea when we will get delivery. La-Z-Boy is technically in breach with verbal and written claims of delivery times. Again, We have no idea on quality. The salesperson know I want a recliner which was stated as such in the ad, but when I went to purchase the product, the salesperson explained that the manager stated this only applied to a rocker recliner, not a standard recliner. My reason for shopping at LazBoy was because it has an established name, has been around a long time, and I assumed I was getting good quality. I was unfortunately mistaken by that! After ordering and receiving my sectional, I had to contact "Customer Care" at 6 weeks after having it in my house. That contact was in July of 2016 and just today, 2/22/17, my "reselection" was delivered. Throughout the past 8 months, customer care came to my house at least 5 times to "fix" the problems. Some of these issues included understuffed cushions on the backs of each piece, the arms were barely padded (come to find out there was only one thin layer of foam that was not even wrapped completely around the arm), very puckered piping on the edges of the seat cushions, seat cushions flattening out and forgetting they are supposed to be "memory foam", the decking material tearing apart from the upholstery material...these are the main things. When the delivery of my new sectional came today, the corner piece looked 10x worse than the original one! It looked like a 5 yo made it. I am very disgusted with LazBoy products, not particularly this Temecula store or the people that work there, because they have been nice enough. Linda has been very helpful and has done her best to try working with me to get more than just a "reselection". My suggestion is to save yourself the agony of dealing with a company that in no way lives up to its longstanding name, and spend your money elsewhere! You might as well go to Big Lots, I think the quality is better and matches the prices they charge at least. LazBoy is poor quality, way over-priced, and horrible customer "care". read more

In-store experience was fine. I purchased a high-end power recliner with all the options ($2,500). It was delivered 5 weeks later. I inspected it for damage and sat in it briefly to check power operation and accepted delivery. After the truck left, I sat in it for a while and found it to be nothing like the comfort of the store model. Something seemed to be wrong with the power lumbar construction and cushioning. I called customer service the next day who arranged for a technician to fix it. But I would have to wait three weeks. When he arrived, I asked him to sit in it to see what I was feeling, He refused, saying he was told to only inspect the cushioning, and could do nothing more. So he ordered materials. Four weeks later he installed the cushioning. His work only accentuated the underlying problem. I told him it was worse. So he said he would have to send out a specialist. Along the way I had written to the store to keep them aware of the situation, with no response. The recliner sat in my den unused and unusable for over seven weeks and repairs only made matters worse. So I called the store manager. After some discussion she agreed to pick up the recliner and refund the money. On the morning of the day arranged for pick up, La-Z-Boy customer service called to inform me they would not accept return because the recliner had been in my home for two months and therefore beyond of the three-day return policy. They were unmoved by my explanation that the item had been in my den, unused and unusable, awaiting repairs for two months and then only made worse, They also asserted that it was a comfort issue, and the recliners' being uncomfortable was not their problem as it was built to La-Z-Boy specifications. In the end, the store followed through and picked up the recliner as agreed. I'm not clear whether the store and La-Z-Boy customer service ever communicated. After two salespeople walked past us, my husband and I were helped by a very kind and professional salesman. We bought beautiful, quality furniture that will last for years. We had to delay the delivery, and our salesman took care of the issue with no complaint. When the furniture arrived, it was beautiful!!!! In a previous transaction, I purchased La-z-boy couches. I love them. We had problems with one of the recliners, and La-z-boy was NOT helpful in guiding us to get it repaired. My conclusion is that the products from La-z-boy are great, the sales people vary, and the service/guarantee is terrible. read more
