A whole bottle of cider where the waiter promptly came by to pour expertly. It's quite, around the corner from the crazy cluster of restaurants, but still in the main shopping area. It was probably the most Spanish thing we did....drinking standing at the bar, eating tapas, and GASP, I decided that when in Rome I should do as the Romans, and so I ate some DELICIOUS mussels and something pate-like called Cabracho, which google says is scorpion fish. What the heck, it was delicious. This place was pretty packed, and had a nice comfortable vibe, right off of the Plaza Mayor. I saw some folks that had descended on Gijon for the same festival that we had, and a lot of Spanish folk that were either from there, or visiting from somewhere nearby. All in all it was a great experience that I highly recommend repeating.

Horrible experience…read more We made a reservation interior terrace for 3:30p. We arrived at 3:15p. Checking in was more akin to trying to get service at a busy butcher shop without a number. Staff were running from one end to the other. Hostess told us to go outside and find a table. All tables (2) were standing in puddled water. We thought about going back in and complaining. Honestly, we didn't want to go through all that hassle again. Horrible Experience!
