The first time I arrived, one of the waiters, Carlos, took me under his wing, showed me the ropes, reserved a table for me and just made me feel like I'd arrived at a friend's house for dinner. I returned several times in the two weeks I stayed in São Paulo and also met Joe, one of the owner/managers. Joe encouraged me to try their paninis. Normally, I steer clear of pizza-like foods in foreign countries... I mean, I love my NYC thin crust and am almost always disappointed in what I find elsewhere. Not so at Boston Bakery. Their crust is thin, crunchy, not soggy at all! In short, unexpectedly amazing and all the ingredient inside are fresh and in creative, tasty combinations. Boston Bakery is a combo buffet, sit down restaurant, diner, deli, chocolate shop and corner store. A great place to run and grab something or stay and linger. A major plus if you go by car is that they have free, validated parking in the adjacent parking lot.
