Our 8pm arrival sans reservation was lucky, as the outside dining area filled up within 15 minutes of our seating.
SERVICE: 5.0. The waitress was a hearty and considerate extrovert. Her recommendation was spot on. Her description of why the food tasted so fresh (never previously-frozen, fish caught that day) was credible. The gentleman who took our payment was amiable; we left happy.
AMBIANCE: 4.0. Outside dining area has tight seating, but was very pleasant on a that warm September night.
FOOD: 5.0. Fresh, Fresh, Fresh. We had 5 tapas and dessert, walking away sated.
- 5.0: SARDINES (1/2 tapa). So fresh. Apparently they don't eat the head and bones here, but we ate the entire fish the Japanese way, including the head and bones (as my wife taught me).
- 5.0: HARICOTS VERTS (green bean) with Hazelnuts salad.
- 4.0: ROASTED PORK SLICES.
- 5.0: ARROZ NEGRE
- 4.5: SALAMOREJO
- 4.5: STRAWBERRY w/RICE (dessert)
The glasses of rosé and red wine were decent.
