Repair Shop commits Fraud and Dishonest Practices against Elders…read moreMy mother who is 72 years old and barely speaks English walks into this place in need of a repair estimate after her car had been in an accident expecting an estimate for full repair. Shop technician gives her an estimate and charges her $50 for it. Then she calls me and has me speak to your technician who tells me she needs to go across town to get an additional estimate to have her car fully repaired for the BODYWORK and that the other shop would not charge her. In other words, Mr. NHAN TAN LE charged her for a partial estimate. So with these NUMEROUS problems arose: Mr. NHAN TAN LE never disclosed to my mother that he would only give a partial estimate What layman and a regular person thinks they will go to a shop and not get an estimate for a full repair but a partial repair? What that means is, Mr. NHAN TAN LE is committing deceptive & dishonest business practices against customers and in my mother's case, a senior citizen. Mr. NHAN TAN LE has deliberately NOT DISCLOSED to my mother what she should expect from his shop. That his shop would NOT fully solve her problem, despite the fact that she'd been charged $50. Then come to find out, Mr. NHAN TAN LE deceived the City of Baton Rouge as well because he went into the Department of Business Licensing and showed that he had an LLC with the Secretary of State under LEES COMPLETE CAR CARE 2 LLC and then LEE'S COMPLETE CAR CARE LLC, and they were both closed for failure to file an annual report which means his business is NOT in good standing with the Secretary of State. The City of Baton Rouge Business Licensing Department did not care that Mr. NHAN TAN LE is lying to the public and lets Mr. NHAN TAN LE keep his business license current without any concern. Then I was told by the City of Baton Rouge that to even to get a copy of the repair shop's business license, permit and occupancy I need to submit a Public Records Request Form. This post will be updated as I make progress and I achieve my goal to have this repair shop closed for good and Mr. NHAN TAN LE prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Morris runs an honest and reputable business…read more My daughter is a student at LSU and I was in a difficult position when her car broke down since I am 300 miles away in Houston. From what she described over the phone it sounded as if the transmission had gone out on her '04 Civic. Not having any experience with repair shops in Baton Rouge, I searched the internet. Morris' shop came up with a couple of good reviews plus some extra information on a Community page. I figured if he has been in business for 25+ years he must know what he is doing. I gave Morris a call and he arranged for towing . After he had a chance to check out the car, he told me the CV axle was damaged and the transmission was probably fine. This turned out to be the case (whew!). Morris got it fixed up and back on the road in a reasonable amount of time. My daughter hasn't reported any further issues with the car. It was an uncomfortable situation dealing with car repairs by long distance without having a chance to see things for myself. I really appreciate the fact that Morris gave an honest assessment of the problem and didn't try to crowd a bunch of extra services into the picture. I think he handled the repairs in a very professional manner and charged a fair and reasonable price for his work. I am a satisfied customer. Rusty was supposed to replace my transmission, requested 1500 to order parts on Christmas Eve and stated he would have to order on Friday after Christmas Due to the holiday paid it and Friday morning prior to opening of the business day the dealership where I purchased it reached out and said that they would take care of everything and to have him send an invoice to them for anything that he had done I explained everything and he sent the invoice and dealership paid him and picked up my vehicle and he gave me every excuse in the book about my refund he was waiting for money to hit his account He's going to mail me a money order doesn't even have my address and now he's casper and I haven't been able to get in contact him. Didn't see the negative reviews until later down the road. I was told it would be ready in a few days. One week in, problem number one and two. Three weeks in, another problem. You get the jist. 8 weeks later, I got my car back. Still not working. Definitely learned my lesson about checking reviews.
