My husband had the vegetarian burger with eggplant and goat cheese, which he absolutely loved. The burgers came with french fries and a little salad. My vegan burger was tasty as well, but it lacked a little bit of something creamy like perhaps some avocado. I found it a bit on the dry side and I'm not one to splash ketchup and mayonnaise all over. Service was friendly and good. We were also served a big bottle of water, didn't have to ask for that. Even though we both ordered a drink as well. The music they played was mainly 70s soul and funk, it created a nice atmosphere.

The batter is wonderfully light and crisp with hot chunky chips. To accompany there is mushy peas or a house speciality of a petit pois fritter. There's plenty of other choices too - burger, scampi, calimari, chicken nuggets and a veggie option of falafel. And accompaniments of curry sauce or tartare sauce (homemade), picked onions etc. And it's licensed too - for wines & beers. There's always the takeaway option if you are passing through or camping..... And if you want (though you really are unlikely to need) extra chips, then you only have to ask and they are provided at no extra cost. It's a sparklingly clean establishment which has an immaculate toilet available to customers. Prices are very reasonable and service is quick and polite. A little gem of a place - I want to go back
