La Terrazza Sul Mare = The Terrace Overlooking the Sea. La Terrazza Sul Mare is the perfect spot if you want to enjoy great food right from the grill in front of a spectacular view. This wonderful, quiet place, immersed in a pine forest, has a truly spectacular view: the bay of Vignola to the left, ending with the rocks of Punta di li Francesi, and the pink granite of Monti Russu to the right, with Capo testa further behind, and Corsica in the distance. In between is one of the nicest beaches of the Mediterranean. If you want to eat you need to reserve in advance, as the food is cooked based on the reservations received. There are only 2 options here: a seafood menu, or a meat menu. During our visit we opted for the seafood menu which included a gilthead sea bream, a whole squid, and 2 prawns/gamberoni, plus a side of grilled vegetables (zucchini, eggplant, and bell peppers). The meat selection includes suckling pig roasted on a spit, plus other cuts. Some practical suggestions: - When you make a reservation, keep in mind that food is cooked for everyone at the same time, so that dinner will be served at around 9pm. So, if you make a reservation at 7:30pm, or 8:30pm, it doesn't really matter, as your food will arrive at around 9pm anyway. - The location is Naracu Nieddu, which is a beach a couple of km after Vignola in the direction of Santa Teresa di Gallura. There is a parking lot, and parking is free after 8pm. - You have to walk through the pine forest; there is a path that is clearly indicated, and the restaurant is at the end of the path, immediately to the right.
