The room I stayed in was nice with plenty of light and a lovely little balcony to enjoy the morning sunshine. The bathroom is a nice size and there is a writing desk in the lounge if you need to write a long review or an article about Palermo. The place has decent free WiFi good enough that you can easily watch Netflix. The only tip I would make if you want a decent sleep in then close the brown shutters on the outside before you head to bed... I left them open so I would wake up earlier so I could explore the city. The only tip for sleeping at night was to unplug the TV as the blue standby light is fairly annoying which I did the second night after waking up think aliens had come to kidnap me... Nope it was just the Telefunken TV... Had a good rest in Palermo and would recommend staying here if you get the chance, also great if you have young kids as the owners have a family of three boys your kids can interact with. Lovely family lovely home.

The owner and host Francesco, is the best B&B host we have ever experienced. He is passionate about what Palermo and his B&B have to offer. The location is in the city, but outside the old historic center so there is parking available near the unit for you to park your car and leave it during your entire stay. There is also frequent bus transportation to the historic center and other parts of town within 3 blocks. Because it is a residential area you have very good restaurants close by. No horrible touristic menus to be found anywhere near here. The unit itself is extremely comfortable. It is on the 12th floor - a penthouse and has an amazing terrace outside of the unit with an additional very large terrace on the 13th floor above it. There are commanding views of the entire city from the terraces. The room itself is well appointed with dark wood wainscoting and floors and tasteful decor. The ensuite bathroom is incredibly large for an inner-city room and includes an oversized soaking bathtub and a separate large shower. The WiFi worked very well in the unit and nearby terrace just outside the room. Francesco, is incredibly hospitable. He takes much pride in providing exceptional service to his guests. The suggestions of what sites to visit, how best to arrive there, where to eat and anything else you can think of in the city are extremely helpful. Breakfasts are without compare to other bed and breakfast locations. Francesco caters them specifically to your wishes. This is not a cookie cutter breakfast, it is made with great care and the desire to please. We requested some savory meats and cheeses and were surprised to find a perfectly ripe cherry tomato salad, delicious caponata, calzone with local bread, prosciutto, home grown basil and fresh mozzarella along with fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juice and yogurt. A schiacciata (sp?) of cooked ham and cheese was also included - enough for breakfast, lunch and more! We stayed two nights and felt very comfortable here. The privacy of being the only guests is great! We felt pampered. We highly recommend Attic 12 to savvy travelers who want to experience Palermo from a local's perspective.

Asked and got other room for no pay up with a balcony, under construction and AC. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, because owners are building their B&B and it will only improve. Our room did not have air vent built in (yet) in the bathroom, so bad smelly dump will not go away that quickly (I don't like how I wrote here, I know...). It has few restaurants around the area and very importantly pubs (at evening times). One huge bonus is that Giorgio (that's the main guy's name) will give you really nice advises where to go and what to see and also will take good care of you. They have Free wi-fi and a laptop to be used in you needs. That's handy for some. Wifi is dodgy, tho. Not super reliable. Lovely B&B. Quite close to all main areas of Palermo.

The staff was polite, friendly, and went above and beyond for all of our needs. They made you feel like a welcomed family guest. Their hospitality is top-notch. The food prepared fresh onsite from items in their garden was the best we tasted while in Italy (even better than Rome). Breakfast was included in the price of our stay, but we were also offered lunch and dinner for an extra fee each day. We did the dinner on two of our three nights there. Their wine, also produced on the estate, is excellent. I had to order some from Wine.com in the States when we returned. While relaxing by the swimming pool at the manor house, I couldn't help but notice how peaceful it was, with zero background noise. I was also pleased with the laundry service, which they provide for a small extra fee. The cost of our stay was very reasonable. It was a great value for the money. While at the airport and about to leave, we realized that I had left behind an essential item. The owner again went above and beyond and brought it to me at the airport in time for us to make our flight on time. My wife and I are already talking about wanting to go back at some point in the future.

The Staff are efficient, friendly and eager to please. My room had a small terrace which was cool. The room was clean but rather dated with carpeting that had seen better days. There was a mini-fridge with refreshments which was great for a late night arrival. The tub had a shower with a half-glass enclosure that did not contain the shower water very well so I had lots of water to clean up after showering. There was a mystery code for the tv remote that i did not break. Overall a great experience however if they updated the bathrooms, floor coverings and replaced the framed paper posters and added some art or other embellishments to the lobby the hotel would be awesome.
