They sell a good range of products like marmite, heinz beans, digestive biscuits, bacon, sausages, cheeses, frozen foods, household products, cards etc. I'm one who likes to embrace a new culture but it's also very nice to find somewhere that sells a few things that you really miss from home. The lady in the shop was very friendly and helpful and told me that she has lived in the area since 2004 so she was also very happy to recommend other services I had been looking for such as an electrician, plumber and somewhere I could go for help learning French. Churchills is a lovely little shop and I would highly recommend it to any homesick Brit.

My favourite store in the Gers county!…read more This Intermarché supermarket offers a very wide range of fresh produce and all the usual branded and own-brand products. What is pleasing about Intermarché supermarkets in general is that they are able to offer truly local products, and this applies especially in the Condom branch. Here you'll find wonderful local wines, armagnac, and floc (a fortified wine made as an offshoot from the armagnac distilling process), as well as local eggs, poultry, foie gras, and so on. There is an in-store bakery. The store is clean, well-lit and well-stocked, including a decent selection of hardware and ironmongery for a store of this medium size. There is also a petrol station with fuel at the best prices around, and opposite the store is a Weldom DIY store. Car parking is a little tight, but this is no more than a minor inconvenience. Recommended highly.

We had a monumental lunch in the beautiful French village in the Gers department (Tenarèze region)…read moreof Southwest France. Fourcès is a "Plus Belles Villages de France" and it clear why. Walking around the circular town center is a very memorable experience. We had lunch at the Auberge which is clearly a popular spot for locals. Every aspect of the experience was outstanding, particularly my charcuterie and duck confit. It was also a tremendous value for such delicious food. If you're anywhere in the Gers I highly recommend making a trip here and to Fourcès.
