Sadly, I wanted to like this restaurant due to the warm, country cabin feel of the interior…read more However, my boyfriend (who is French) and I (American) both thought the food was average at best, and the service was terrible. The waiter forgot our bottle of wine, and after flagging him down, he left and came back to report that only a half bottle was available; he/they forgot to chill a full bottle. Fine, we understand one mistake. Our dinner arrived, each of us getting one of the two different heated cheese platters. Not great but not bad. After taking our coffee and dessert orders, a party of 20 arrived, and I think our waiter became flustered, because after delivering our desserts, we never received our coffees. We waited a long time and finally decided to pay. We put the credit card out and again, waited. No one checked on us or gave us eye contact to flag down. Finally, we gave up and went to the bar to pay. The woman was nice, seemed surprised that we were there, she printed and gave us the bill, and sure enough, we were charged for a full bottle of wine and the 2 coffees that never arrived. We explained what happened, and she took off the wine entirely, and apologized. Unfortunately, it didn't make up for our overall experience.
