This place was right by my hotel, Hotel Morales and it met all my criteria for a good local dive…read morebar: serves beer only, plays metal, and darker than other bars. This made me happy. The beer variety was alright, nothing to write home about, but they carried some local cerverca artesenales, and also some harder to find Modelo and Corona seasonals. But more importantly the bar had all the delicious affordable Mexican beers Mexico has to offer! If you make friends there, the bar will become alive and the beer will never stop flowing between the caguamas you and the local drunks pop open. Don't know much about the food menu, but the locals kept saying to try the peanuts-pitiados! Pro-tip, be friendly to the local bartender Bons, and he will pour and play anything you want on the stereo peron!
