It's been one year since I moved to France, and although I can't eat crêpes as often as I used to,…read moreI could never entirely stop splurging on the GOOD ONES...and that means crêpes from La Crêperie Saint Sauveur. I have literally never had a bad crêpe, and we go almost once a month.
Yes, the crêperie is tucked behind The Touristy Area of Auray, and fine, the crêpes may not be as good as your grandmother's, but whatever. That's not the point. The point is that La Crêperie Saint Sauveur makes consistently delicious crêpes-- all in-house; all with fresh, seasonal ingredients; and all under the pressure of being booked, lunch and dinner, all year round. And despite that, the service is typically excellent- prompt and polite.
Tips:
- Reservations are almost always necessary, so call ahead.
- Save. Room. For. Dessert. [I'm such a sucker for their homemade frangipane (almond paste) crêpe with a scoop of ice cream.]
