My baby girl is currently showing some intolerances to eggs and gluten, so I have been on the lookout for a shop that would sell all those products and was excited when I heard about this shop.
I went there today to check it out, but came out a little disappointed.
The shop has a lot to offer, but is still limited compared to other shops. Overall, I usually have the impression that those stores are taking advantage of the situation and overcharging, even though it is understandable that those products are higher-priced due to rarity and I guess a question of demand and offer. However, this shop is slightly more expensive than other places.
Also, I wanted to come and check out if they would have some fresh gluten-free bread, which they don't. So because of this, I probably won't come back to this store, as I can find fresh bread in other specialized stores.
As a general remark for all those specialized stores and for people who are looking for gluten-free products, Delhaize and Carrefour supermarkets sometimes have a very nice selection of those at more affordable prices.
As far as I'm concerned, I can just go back to the normal supermarkets. However, for people with real allergies, these shops are very useful and a blessing. Too bad that they're just so expensive. read more
