Food were very good , good portions and good quality , we had cheese plater, octopus, toasted bread with tomato ( pan de tomate), rib eye steak, flank steak, picana steak, French fries, Malbec and Tiramisu, and something else ( sorry I don't remember) for dessert . Everything was so good that I totally forgot to take more pictures specially the steaks. Our server was very friendly and patient specially with my grand kids , alway he has a jock and checking and smiling all the time. Excellent service, make our experience unforgettable. The restaurant have like to room we were in and smaller one with a lot of green plant like a jungle, honoring the name "La Selva" ( the jungle) If you are in the area I recommend to stop buy an have a meal in this restaurant. Price waist is in the middle but portions and quality are very good . Remember to make a reservation I hope I can comeback but my time are limited in Barcelona. Thank you for the excellent experience and delicious food.

What a fantastic find on a Sunday night! It was worth the 30 minute walk (lol only because we walked wrong direction). The meal was excellent, the ambiance was delightful! We sat in swings! Yes totally unexpected & comfortable! Great sangria! The steak was delicious and you heat or finish cooking on the grill they bring. Add fat and sea salt and VOILA! The food timing was excellent! Finished appetizer, then salad then entrees. Nice flow so table was not over crowded and food was hot. We also had delicious grilled & seasoned edamame instead of the typical bread. The servers were ok, waitress seemed a little irritated when I asked about the "empanada" , I actually had to ask her to lower her voice as I was just asking because our version at home is quite different. The waiter laughed and shook his head in distaste when we asked for medium well. He also rolled his eyes when we asked for smaller take out boxes. He seemed new with a bit to learn. Aside from that the swings, the meal, the sangria & music playlist was AMAZING!!! IF I return to Barcelona, La Selva will be on my list!

Worthy of a visit for the wonderful selection of steaks. The services so about what you would expect from a classy Spanish restaurant. The decor and the ambiance are fun and lively. Definitely recommend!

Phenomenal service, food and vibes. Definitely recommend for the incredible value. The staff was so kind and attentive.

Cabernet Sauvignon went perfect with steak. Definitely recommend this wine.

We were staying in Barcelona for a few days before our cruise and walked to this restaurant. Beautiful jungle atmosphere. A table for 2 has swings for the seats! We ordered the Black Angus tenderloin. It did come out a little undercooked but they give you a small griddle to cook it, if needed. The service was extremely friendly. The desserts were to die for! We ordered a lemon pie, pistachio pie and chocolate mouse with cherries on top. Definitely try this place!

    Roasted Edamame (complimentary)

Ordered: Sangria de Tinto (~€17) Roasted Edamame (complimentary) Fried Calamari (~€15) Roasted Beef Croquettes (~€2 each) Tuna & Guacamole Tostadas (3 for ~€10) Spanish Wagyu Sirloin (~€43): 250g; served with French fries Aya's take: Made it to The Jungle aka La Selva. Stunning decor, classy ambiance, with a rainforest theme. We had a reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival. We started off with their Sangria de Tinto which I must say is one of the better ones I had in Barcelona! It wasn't overly sweet, the flavors from the fruit were nicely balanced, and the red wine didn't overpower the sangria. The Tuna & Guacamole Tostadas were quite delicious but the Roasted Beef Croquettes were an absolute skip. They were dry and you don't really get that rich, savory taste from the roasted beef. The Fried Calamari was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Since La Selva is a steakhouse, it's only right to get a steak! The Spanish Wagyu Sirloin was cooked a bit less than medium, the presentation is quite nice, and they bring you a hot stone to cook it more if you want. I thought that was a bit strange and unsure why they don't just cook it to the proper temperature off the bat. Maybe it adds to the "experience". It also lacked salt which I added to help with that. Decent spot but honestly, if you only have a few days in Barcelona, I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again.

OMG this place was A M A Z I N G!!!! The potatoes were the star of the show for me. The steak were cooked to perfection, steak tartar was crazy good. I can't stop thinking about their food. Service here is OK. However, the decorations here are definitely instagrammable if that's what you're looking for combined with amazing food. I honestly could not get enough of it all and I wish this place was also in California. So so good for night outs with your girlfriends! HIGHLY RECOMMEND (if u don't mind an ok service)

    Corn tostadas. Yummy!

Service wasn't good but the food is delicious. Especially the steak and corn tostadas. The cava sangria is also tasty but is basically juice as far as alcohol content is concerned. You'll definitely get some lovely pictures and good eats if you stop here. Multiple people in my group thought it was our best meal while visiting Barcelona.

    Well-done Wagyu Burger

We went into this place with such high hopes. The decor was nice and pretty much the same as the other place: cool and relaxing jungle vibes. Swing seats, plates enameled with animal portraits, warm mood lighting. We first visited La Selva at the other location in Barcelona. It was out-of-the-way with not much of a touristy appeal. The food was great--expensive but well worth it, with two people costing €130. But this La Selva, near La Sagrada Familia, was way different in a bad way. To start with, the appetizers were deceiving. The ceviche was supposed to be langostino, but it was shrimp when they served it. It was tasty--but it needed salt. The other appetizer was in desperate need of some seasoning as well, as well as being not-as-listed on the menu: the mushrooms were baby bella, NOT portabello, as per the menu. With some salt and pepper, which we had to ask for, the flavor was better. The main dishes weren't very good either: the octopus was dry, tough, and bland. It was supposed to be grilled--but, it look boiled. There were no grill marks. My original order was a medium cooked burger patty, but the wagyu burger was served well-done. I made the server aware, and she brought back a different burger that was basically rare. Also, when I got the burger again, the bun was cold. I made another mention, and they took it away and brought it back practically unchanged. I was better off with the first incarnation of this burger. That very last time, I should have sent it back--AGAIN--but I was already embarrassed about the previous TWO times--and simply ate it. The 60-day aged steak tasted funky: it was tough and had a distinctive flavor that was unsettling rather than appetizing. This is the location closest to La Sagrada Familia--we had gone to a different "La Selva" last time and the whole experience was like night and day different to this one. The server at the other place was a bit stuck-up--but the food was altogether much better. I wish we had gone there again, because this place was mostly awful. The only thing that was hands-down good was the Sangria Tinto. Even my fries tasted a bit too oily for me.

La Selva? More like Less Selva. La Selva is the Tik Tok influencer's version of a Rainforest Cafe- except a Rainforest Cafe offers more when it comes to ambiance, price, and service. As you push your way through the tik tok hoard, you are greeted by shrouds of artificial lushness, with plastic vines traversing the ceiling. A gold panther sits on the floor- almost like a warning to fuck right off and get out of there while you still have your dignity. If you are lucky (or willing to wait) you can get a seat with your partner at the coveted chair swings. If you're even luckier (like me) you get seated at a table the size of an iPad and get to watch as the young, hot couples enjoying their uncooked steak under harsh hospital-esq lighting struggle to navigate getting in and out of their chair swings, sometimes causing full on chair collisions! That alone was better entertainment than the thunder storm animatronic show at Rainforest Cafe. I digress, this experience was rough. It felt icky and inauthentic compared to the warmth and charm of so many other restaurants in Barcelona. The food was cold, and the "diy" hot plate was ineffective, leaving me with "hot on the outside but cold on the inside" steak bites. Unfortunately, unless you want something kinda cool looking to post on your Instagram, La Selva is a hard pass.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Showed up after accidentally making a reservation at the other location. Thankfully the kind host was able to accommodate our party of two. Very large restaurant with plenty of additional seating in the back. I would suggest you make a reservation because it looks popular and you will wait. Amate was our server. So kind, attentive and had some great recommendations. Each steak comes with a side of fries. We also had the salmon tartare - which was fantastic. Such a rich combination of avocado, fresh salmon, and pineapple. I got the Lomo Black Angus sirloin which was perfect. No fat - which I like - but was unlike the Rib Eye which had lots of fat. Thankfully, they give you a little hot press so you can cook the rest of the meat to your liking. The recommendation is medium and cook beyond that at the table. Desert selection was plentiful. Will DEF be back and recommend to others.

The food and atmosphere were both great! The service was also good. We ordered steak and baked potatoes and we enjoyed it!

This is one of the best steakhouses in Barcelona. If you have a chance to go make a reservation, we need at least two weeks in advance. We were here on a Thursday night. The place was packed. We had a table that literally was reserved. Two hours later so be mindful of your time, but enjoy every bite we had the ribeye steak with the grilled vegetables and the potatoes. We also enjoyed the goat cheese salad, which was so divine the desserts are super special we had the sangria with our meal and it was so tasty. Very reminiscent of our time in Barcelona enjoyed this place. It's gorgeous to look at very Instagramable..

    We loved the wine recommendation

The restaurant is tucked away inside the El Nacional food court. Lighting and tables are pleasant…read more They appear to still have COVID era plastic dividers between booths and a few other areas of the restaurant. Our party was promptly seated and orders taken shortly after menus were delivered. We ordered a few items and found the sides to be amazing here. Huevos de Primera Puesta con Patatas Fritas y Chorizo de buey - This app was off the chains and is a joygasm for the taste buds. It had a fried egg perfectly cooked where the yolk was still runny and had ox chorizo over some perfectly fried potato wedges. Wedges were soft pillowy potato with light crispy exteriors. Season and oils they used made this dish taste amazing. If I were to order anything, it would be this. Pan de Doble con Fermentacion con Aceite, sal y hierbas - One of the better variants of bread and tomato I've experienced in Barcelona. The bread was still a bit crusty but softer on the interior. Tomato that was spread onto it was well seasoned with salt and oil on what is likely sourdough. Solid and well composed side. Salad/Vegetables - Execution on cooked vegetables in the small skillet went well with steak and helped add flavor to the meat. Whole Ribeye Veal Steak - This is a minimum 30-day aged steak. It is a 1kg minimum order, so enough for a small group of 3-4 to share or one hungry individual. For a braseria that's supposed to deal in steaks, this was a disappointment and disservice to the animal itself. The steak appeared to be properly cooked medium rare, but was completely full of gristle and even had a quite a bit of silver skin still attached making the steak very tough to consume/chew. Exterior fat had heated so heavily and quick that it was just way too hard to even bite into. It felt like it was broiled incorrectly and none of the fat was rendered properly. Most items here were good, one great, but all else was mediocre to just okay. Steak was unfortunately not worth the order. Service was just okay. Not super friendly, nor rude in any way. Servers was just, kind of there, but not wholly attentive. All in all, this establishment is at best a 2 out of 5.

I've seen this place have bad reviews on Yelp and Google, but I was already at El Nacional and…read moretheir menu looked the most interesting out of all the restaurants in the building, and it's a cute place to have lunch. The people that are giving the place low ratings are perhaps expecting too much from service... honey, we are in Barcelona. Maybe they ordered the wrong things.... but we didn't! We tried the Acorn-fed Duck margret with confit potato, and Andalusian-style fresh squid with citric mayonnaise. I don't know what to expect, but this is one of the best duck dishes I've ever had. Cooked to perfection. Look at the size... you'd never get that in the States for that price & quality. As for the squid, I wasn't expecting it to be fried, but it's the best calamari I ever had. They just do it different in Spain! Oh how I miss it. When I return, I will definitely come back for the duck. Yum!
