While travelling to Guadalajara, we decided to party in La Santa. I've heard of this club from people that I follow on Instagram. The place is upscale, clean, safe, and it plays good music. The lighting is pretty neat, and the layout is decent. There is no overcrowding on the main floor. The seating is bottle service only, and the cost is a fraction of what I've paid for similar service in LA and Vegas. Keep in mind, some of the larger and cushier seating arrangements require a party of 6 or more. My special someone and I were able to get hooked up with a decent setup, however. The poison of choice was vodka, mixed with cranberry juice, and some bottles of water on the side. The bar is fully stocked, if you fancy a different type of booze. They also sell vapes, which I bought for us to enjoy in the moment. Once we downed the entire bottle, and spent a good amount of time in this place, we decided to head back to the hotel. This place impressed me. It is everything I expected, and more. If you find yourself in Guadalajara, and love the nightclub scene like I do, give this place a shot! This place is wack!!!! All the employees outside where acting very suspicious. I had handed them my California Driver License and they had us wait 30 min after giving us a pass to go in. And than to tell us that We couldn't go in because I didn't have my passport. I had an official ID on me. Why couldn't they just tell me I'm sorry we cant accept this when I was asked for some kind of form of ID. So if your an outsider make sure to bring your Passport. I personally wouldn't recommend you guys coming here. The bouncers are all hella stuck up and think there better than us. And honestly it's there lost!! We planned a trip to Guadalajara and decided we wanted to go to La Santa - which is now called Bibloteca. I don't think they have a website, and if they do I couldn't find it. A few weeks before our visit, I messaged La Santa via Instagram DM to inquire about reserving a table. They replied advising me I could do it through Instagram DM. I tried for three weeks prior to our trip to make some kind of a reservation but after their first reply, they never replied again. I sent three more messages, and my messages were just left on read. This place is also impossible to reach by phone. Fast forward to the night we went clubbing, we arrived a few minutes before La Santa opened in hopes of speaking to someone about getting a table. We spoke with one of the bouncers and told him we wanted to get a table. He told us no problem and that he would add our name to the list. He later disappeared and was no where to be found when the club opened. The other bouncers would not let us in. They were only letting select groups of people in. It seemed like you could only get in depending on who you knew. We waited for 30 minutes and started to get a little annoyed. After another 15 minutes we were finally let in. The club has a pretty cool "library" theme and the DJ was great! He played a mix of EDM and Reggaetón. The table areas were pretty crammed. We ended up buying 4 bottles and spent around $500. Service workers expect a tip, which was fine because service was great. All in all, I don't know if I would return to La Santa just because of how hard it was to get in. We've been to to some of the best clubs in Cancun, Mexico City, Mazatlán and Tijuana and never experienced such difficulty getting in anywhere! read more

Now known as Biblioteca has the worst customer service i have ever experienced! I made reservations with a Rodrigo when i got there they advised me to wait while they checked and found him. I waited 30 minutes when i asked again they said well my name wasn't found on the reservation list i said well i have his messages they said well we don't have anything ??? So why would they leave me there standing knowing this for so long ? While other people were walking in no problem. I asked so what do i do now and they said well you can do what you want i can not stress how much you should never go to a place like this ! I don't know if i was being treated like this because they saw my ID and new i was from California or if it was just complete ignorance however if you are in Guadalajara i would never recommend Biblioteca! Terrible terrible table service. They don't even let you sit down before they're charging you the bottle. It's on a per bottle payment. If you're in a large group trying to split the bill don't even think you'll have a minute to put your guard down to relax. read more

This club was one of the most terrible experiences in my life. I was born and raised in California but my family was from Guadalajara. So I would go every summer and made friends. When I turned 18 we went to this club with my friends and literally they got pissed because my brother didn't want to give the server more tips after we gave him several. They honestly took my brother out to the back and started beating him then I went to stand up for him and also did the same to me. They took our wallets and tried to get all the money out of us and was treating to kill us. A few friends also stood up for us and got treated the same. Luckily they let us go at last because as an American citizen I had rights and told them. I called the embassy and filed a report on them. I highly would recommend caution if you go to this club. read more

It's my first time visiting Guadalajara and I was told this is the "go-to" club when visiting town. I'm giving the club itself 5 stars because the ambiance is amazing! It feels like a club in Vegas. The service itself with the bouncers are promoters suck! They are extremely selective with whom they let in. You can be the most attractive girl or a guy with money for bottle service BUT if you don't know anyone they won't let you in. It's pathetic how they turn down attractive people or people with money just because they don't have "connections" to get in. Horrible experience. Me and my friends tried to get in this past weekend and we stood outside the door for close to 2 hours. The way it works is you have to know a promoter which then gives you a pass to let you in. If you are from out of town like we were, there was no way in getting in. We have money and went with the intent to pay for a table and bottle service. There was no reason for the bouncers to be so rude. I flagged down a bouncer and manager and was treated very poorly. We had a table reservation made two days in advanced and when we arrived (prior to opening) they said they didn't have a table open and ready for us. We waited 45 minutes and they said they couldn't get us a table and a bouncer wanted us to pay 200 pesos (cover charge for men is only 130 and zero for women) to let us in. They probably let in about 40 people and had the worst service I've ever experienced. read more
