I stayed here for 4 days in a king suite…read more Pros: great location, walking distance to cub foods for any grocery needs, short driving distance to the mall/target/general shopping, property is a bit dated (decor, furniture, lighting) but everything is functional and still holds up well, king suite is spacious and comfortable, room had all the core necessities that made it an enjoyable stay. My only con is the breakfast offering. My stay spanned weekday through weekend so I got to experience different breakfast options. I think the key is to lower your expectations. The coffee is weak, hot and cold food items are basic, there is a make your own waffle bar. Essentially if you're not picky, you can get by but it was a letdown. Each day there was an egg dish, meat, and limited bread selection. I didn't find any healthy/healthier options like whole wheat bread or cottage cheese. At least there are apples and bananas though. Overall it's just very general basic offerings. Breakfast aside, this was a pleasant stay. Can't beat the location and spacious rooms.

The one I stayed in this time didn't have the oven, but it still had the electric stove top, and plates, silverware, and pots and pans. Basically, everything one needs. I had a nice view to what looked like a forest. Very peaceful to look at. The bathroom and the shower or clean and function well. The furniture was sturdy and comfortable. The TV was huge, and positioned at the center on a swivel circle, so it could be viewed either from the couch or from the kitchen table, or from the bed. Best of all, the people who work here are awesome. After several stays over the last year, I consider them my friends. Really, better than a lot of my family! They took care of me, starting with helping me find the right accommodation at the right price, and then to find things to do, and even gave me rides when my taxi ride fell through. Sarah, Evan, Chase, Jennifer, Ashlee and Annalise, many thanks to all of you!

I'm going to be really honest - I didn't expect much from a Holiday Inn Express but this…read morestay/experience made me think twice (for the better) about considering this specific brand in the future. The location isn't very obvious from the main road. In fact, had google maps not directed us, we wouldn't have found it. First impression walking into the lobby was "wow, this is nice." Well lit, open and inviting, plenty of seating that flows into the breakfast area. Decor was modest but tasteful. Felt welcoming and well maintained. Rooms had thoughtful features that were meaningful - built in suitcase rack, multiple hooks to hang coats/bags, small wall shelf. The one suggestion I'd offer is to replace the corner floor lamp with a side chair for extra seating because to only have one office chair in a 2 bed room is simply not enough seating. Breakfast was quite nice. Pancake station, real scrambled eggs (not the powdery stuff), 2 different types of sausages, potatoes, oatmeal, bagels/breads, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. I was pleasantly surprised. All in all, I found myself becoming a fan of Holiday Inn again. I typically don't stay at this chain but will definitely consider in the future.

This new hotel is conveniently located close to the airport, shopping, and restaurants. The taxi…read moreride from the airport shouldn't be more than $10. I arrived and the front desk attendant was on the phone so I went to the little store and got a root beer. They had a cooler with drinks and some snack foods which was convenient. The check in process was very quick. I asked if I needed to arrange a taxi to take me into Superior the next morning. She answered no there would be taxis available. The elevators are large and fast. My room had two queen beds And there was plenty of lighting. The bathroom had lots of counter space which I appreciated. They provide white citrus Bath and Body products. The room also had a Keurig machine, microwave, and mini fridge. The temperature control worked well and I was never too warm or cold. They offer a free breakfast buffet starting at 6:30 AM. There are eggs, meat, assorted muffins and breads, cereal, and oatmeal. There's self serve coffee and tea but not a lot of variety of teas. There's a nice pool and large gym but I didn't use these amenities. At 7, I asked the front desk to call me a taxi. She called three companies before finding one that I could come within 15 minutes. I told her the woman the night before told me I did not have to pre-book but she said yes you should because there are flights that are coming in and going out. I wasn't so impressed with this news and I waited 20 minutes for a taxi and he was able to get me to my destination as quick as possible. After this I made sure I pre-booked my taxis including the next morning going to the airport. Since I had an early morning flight, the breakfast was not available but they did have hot water and one tea bag for me to use. I would stay at this hotel again as it's convenient in location and there is a Subway and Dairy Queen with in walking distance. Although it was a short stay, it was comfortable.

DO NOT BRING YOUR TEAM HERE! This hotel is not friendly or accommodating to teams. We brought a…read more13/14 year old hockey team and were barely at the hotel with games and team events planned, but when we were, we were made to feel very unwelcomed by the front desk women. (Other staff were friendly and even wished us luck!). They made us feel very uncomfortable in this hotel. Our manager was told upon booking (months in advance) that there was no drinking in the lobby, so they offered us the "Party Room". Turns out the Party room in also no drinking. Now we had no plans to get rowdy in any way, but to be adults and have a beverage and socialize we had to go into a room. While 6 moms were in a room having normal level talk with occasional giggles, we received a knock on the door to be met with the lady from the front desk almost hyperventalating and telling us she received a noise complaint about us. Mind you, all the rooms around us were the mom's room and we clearly didn't report ourselves. Furthermore in her gasps for breaths as she scolded 40+ year old women enjoying 1-2 beverages each, she was the one with the raised voice and said that was a team warning, the next one by anyone on the team and they would be removing us from our stay. From there we tried to stay away from the hotel as much as possible during the weekend. When a mom completed the survey they sent afterwards and was honest about how uncomfortable everyone felt even though they are in the hospitality business, the hotel wrote back with LIES and THREATS! Lieing that we had recieved and abundant amount of noise complaints and that they woud be contacting our association to report us and never rent to our association teams again. Great! Our board member WAS THERE, and our Board is already aware of the ridiculous treatment we received. There were no additional complaints because the team all shared our stories about the first night, so they completely LIED about any behaviors. We have multiple parents that have called their corporate office to ensure they are aware of the front desk staffs lack of tact in a customer service position. We stay in PLENTY of hotels and can stand by the fact that while we were barely around, when we were, we were not disrespectful. THIS HOTEL is AWFUL for TEAMS!!! If I could rate it ZERO, I would.

The hotel is two stories and HAS NO ELEVATOR. The staff seemed shocked at my suggestion that this was somehow unusual. They told me I should have asked when I made my reservation. Like asking if a restaurant has a bathroom. There was a continual cluster of people smoking right around the entrance. The whole place feels seedy and run down. Avoid!

It is clear that they often host groups and were well prepared for us to be there. First, the hotel is clean and well kept. Rooms are comfortable and spacious enough. There is ample parking for the amount of rooms and close to a variety of local restaurants. Their continental breakfast never ran out even though we had our large group and hockey team eating. We also rented out the party room which had plenty of tables for food set up and was spacious just for gathering. The kids loved the pool area too and had a great time in the slide. I'll probably spell their names wrong, but a huge shout out to Courtney & Zack for their patience as we checked in our large group and for answering our questions. The night audit was also incredibly friendly and helpful. We worked with manager Addy to get the reservations set up for the group. We hope to visit again and would definitely seek this hotel for suture events.
