The food was very very good. I'm from so cal so it wasn't 'authentic' as such but very tasty and it definitely hit the spot. The tortillas were amazing. I would have loved to have some beans. This is a very tasty take on Mexican, in Whanganui! We had the lamb tostaditas and a couple of tacos - chicken picado and turmeric fish. All delicious. Prices were reasonable compared to other variations on Mexican you find around NZ. read more

We were pleasantly surprised with La Quattro! For a smaller town the food was really good. We had margaritas (go for the original, the flavoured one was quite sweet) and chips and salsa to start. The cauliflower and lamb tacos were really good, and the chimichangas were delicious. My boyfriend was oohing over the chicken quesadilla. I was excited to see a Mexican Restaurant but I must admit I have had much better food at most other Mexican restaurants (outside New Zealand). To me it seemed very expensive for what we received. Waitress was friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere but I was not impressed with the food or the prices. read more
