Any way, the zoo: it is a bit out of the way of the nearest town Saint Aignan, but once you get there you can appreciate why. It is set in rolling valleys and spreads accross a huge area.
It started out as a bird center but has hugely expanded, they now have a collection of mammals, reptiles and birds to rival any of the older more famous zoos. We really like the tropical birds houses and the lemur island is really fun to watch!
The park is lovely to visit with children , the access is easy, there are good parking facilities, and most importantly of all, you can tell that the animals are well looked after. The animals are kept in large enclosures, the inside is clean and in good condition, and the surroundings are pleasant too.
Recommended for a good day out with children if you are in the area.
