Both were very good, the pork (I forgot the cut) was tender and flavorful but a little fatty. The potatoes came with an aioli and both were good. It's a fun place to just come and relax!

After a day of being rained upon we were drenched/saturated/waterlogged and highly resistant to going very far afield. Yet thankfully, down the street and round the corner we found a beacon of loveliness. There was just room for two more...it's a tiny place...and we sat down, grateful for a warm welcome. The wine bottles decorating the shelves are also the wine list, prices marked on each bottle for take out, add 8€ for drink in. A simple, effective way to Puck your fancy. We were cold and damp and our friendly waitress suggested 4 bottles, ranging in price and potency. Our choice was spot on- warm, fruity and capable of creating a mellow feeling. We also sampled the excellent 'simple' board of charcuterie, cheeses, fruit, nuts, olives and pickles. What a feast this was. Every mouthful a different taste combination and every one delicious. To top a great evening we were offered suggestions of places to visit tomorrow...all good although we might just wend our way back to Aux 3 P'tits Bouchons. A fabulous find.

The place was buzzing and after initially being told that they were full, the owner ran after us as we were leaving and offered us a table. This wine bar is an absolute gem. Not only were we warmly welcomed but we had an amazing wine tasting paired with a delicious charcuteries/cheese plate, melt in your mouth meatballs, mini sardines. The real Stars of the experience were of course the wines. We went By the glass, starting with a delicious Philliponat brut Champagne, an Alice Corton, and then a Cotes du Rhône. If we come back to Reims, we will definately call ahead to make a reservation, or get down on our knees to beg for a table.

The tables are really close together and the candle light is magical. You can't help but get to know your neighbors which added to the convivial atmosphere. They have an extensive wine list, by the bottle for the most part. It wasn't a problem to consume with the steady stream of nibbles we ordered. The Iberico was delicious. We also got the Mont d'Or: a baked rind cheese served with a baguette, roasted potatoes and salad. It was luxurious. The cheese was enclosed in a wooden basket and when baked turned molten in the middle while the rind became cracklingly crisp. Wow! I suggest their cote du bouef. Others ordered it, a huge platter of melting cheese, beef, roasted potatoes and more. Oh and dessert we had a duo of crime brûlée (vanilla and pistachio) which came with crime brûlée ice cream on the side. The staff speak French and were happy to help even though they were so busy. This is a small establishment, you can reserve one of the 4 small intimate tables. Otherwise there is a small bar with 3 stools, and another small room with bench seating. We made a reservation a few hours before, and were accommodated for lunch on a Thursday with our large party without any issues. We were sat against the wall with the fold down movie theater seats but be careful - when I stood up I ended up pulling my seat off and was no longer able to use the chair! Most of the diners in my party shared different burgers (which they all enjoyed and seemed to be enough to share). I selected the Le Wok de Canard which was a duck stir fry. It was very delicious and the meat was quite tender. It was served on a bed of thinly slides vegetables like carrots and zucchini. For being located in a smaller city (not Paris) I would have expected the servers to be a little more friendly but they were friendly enough for it not to impact our experience. I would recommend Les Cornichons but allow for more time to enjoy the decor and atmosphere.

The hiphop music in the background is not really my thing, but it sure was not loud and bothersome, I was okay with it. Bar Braz may look tiny from the outside, but don't be fooled, this winebar has three floors of seating areas. Bar Braz is decorated with simple wooden tables and chairs and some quirky little details. The lavatory is a bit difficult to find, but FYI it's hidden behind the black chalkboard panel behind the bar. And yes, it even says WC written in chalk. The wait staff is young, attractive looking and very friendly. The public there is also as young and relaxed as the vibe here at Bar Braz.

The Bad: Even by Waterloo standards (a town of spoilt rich kids), this place is really overly pretentious, with snobby spoilt brats in polos with turned-up collars getting drunk, while their fake-tan, surgically-enhanced mothers and their sugar daddies eat in the restaurant next door. Also, the music is far too loud, but the hysterical screeching of the brats is far worse. I'm unlikely to go back
