From the owner: De Boswachter in 't mastbos…read more In het eeuwenoude Mastbos ligt de geheel gerenoveerde boswachterswoning uit 1869. Het multi-functionele horecabedrijf is modern maar heeft toch zijn karakteristieke uitstraling behouden. Dit ziet U in het café, restaurant, de feestzalen en het terras. Onze Mastboomzaal is uitermate geschikt voor bruiloften, jubilea, diners feestavonden, vergaderingen maar ook condoléances in een bosrijke omgeving met voldoende verlichte parkeergelegenheid. Deze modern ingerichte zaal (180m2) heeft een maximum capaciteit van 120 personen voor diner of buffet, maar tijdens recepties en condoléances kunnen we ruimte bieden aan +/- 250 personen. De Mastboomzaal en serre (beide met airconditioning) kunnen gescheiden worden. Hierdoor is er zowel voor kleine als grote gezelschappen een passende ambiance. De serre heeft een terras en de mogelijkheid het dak te openen zodat u echt het gevoel krijgt midden in het bos, in de openlucht te vertoeven. I was checked in immediately, and the staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. My room was up one flight of stairs, and was renovated. Quite large, comfortable, and clean, it was very enjoyable. No view to speak of, and no privacy with an open window, but so be it. For the price, I couldn't complain much. I do have two negatives: WiFi was free but of poor quality, at least in my room - slow, and frequently dropped. Also, the breakfast was very basic and boring. Location is top notch and cannot be beat. Breda, especially the city centre, does not have much as far as accommodation goes, so I am sure this is where future stays will occur. I do, however, hope I have a better Wifi signal in my next room.
