Wowww I can't believe how bad this place was. We went armed with a free welcome voucher for prosecco for becoming a member at the shopping village. I had high hopes, given the pasta I saw being served.. How I was wrong! We arrived and were seated. The server was quite miserable and didn't really want to engage in conversation. He served us with the prosecco and we set about ordering from the menu. I went for the scampi spaghetti and my friend got the tuna Niçoise salad and we ordered bruschetta for starters. The main course came within 2 minutes and so couldn't have been cooked fresh. My friend's salad even came without the tuna. The place was full of flies.. Flying around and really distracting our meal, and put me off eating. The main courses were really disappointing.. My pasta was dry and lacked sauce or flavouring and my friend described her salad as very average. We were given bread, however didn't realise you must pay for the butter for the bread, which I thought was quite cheeky to charge for mini margarine. The only saving grace was the bruschetta, which I have to admit was amazing, but can't make up for the rest to the experience. For all visitors and tourists, I would definitely not advise eating here, it's very overpriced and definitely not worth the money. read more

My friend and I stepped into La Piazza for a quick bite, it's one of the few places to eat in the shopping village. I saw some delicious looking pasta someone was eating and thought this is the place to eat. Boy was I sadly mistaken! Our waiter looked like his doctor had only given him one day to live and he was being forced to work it at La Piazza. He was miserable beyond words. I didn't really want to engage in conversation with him in case I said the wrong thing and suddenly there's 'extra ingredients' in my food. My friends scampi spaghetti arrived in what seemed like a minute (just enough time to be heated up in the microwave). Whereas my tuna nicoise salad arrived later but looked like someone just threw a heap of leaves on my plate and brought it out to me, it was missing you know other things in that dish like eggs, potato's, cucumber, tomato's, oh and actual tuna! I managed to grab a waitress and ask her to add in all the other ingredients they missed out. It came back with the said ingredients but again looked a bit slap-dash. It didn't have any seasoning or salad dressing on it at all so had to again ask for these. While I was eating I really started noticing the fruit flies everywhere. I constantly had to wave flies away from my food. There were so many flies there it seems it was infested, it really put me off eating my food.. I asked the waitress about the flies and she just kind of smiled and shrugged her shoulders as if this was normal. Late we had to again endure the misery of the waiter before we could get away from this place, we couldn't move fast enough. Avoid, avoid, avoid, this place is terrible and a waste of money. read more
