They are very accommodating for the menu, I do not want pesto salmon, but rather a pesto chicken, they change it for me without costing me extra. The plat du jour was quite valued, with 15 euro, you got 3 courses, and the portion are appropriate. Wine are good, and the desert is quite nice as well. I ordered creme bulee, it actually makes me wonder if that is how creme bulee should be like... it was different from the usual one I had. And after meal, they offer lollipop or a nougat, giving you a little treat before you go. They accept both cards and cash.

Located just across the plaza from an ancient Cathedral it was the perfect place to stop and rest with a traditional glass of wine . While we were outside, under an umbrulla the sun disappeared and the sky's opened up. Everyone ran inside but we were dry under the awning and umbrulla. Another glass of wine and then a wonderful Italian dinner watching the local workers scurrying through the downpours. The food was great. The waiter was better. He enjoyed using his halting English with us and we enjoyed hearing about his family and travels. He told us to stop drinking glasses of wine and get a carafe, much cheaper. If ever in Albi, an incredible, preserved city you will surely visit the Cathedral and the Latrec Museum. Directly across from them is the PIZZERIA del DUOMO. Although our visit to .Albi was a once in a lifetime excursion for us and we probably won't ever be back, I strongly suggest you drop in for a break, a snack, a carafe of wine. Old school fantastic…read more Go now before the chef retires -- which is soon. We chose to let the chef decide the meal, every dish a surprise, and we enjoyed every bit of it. This is an old school setting with an Escofier trained chef making the best quality traditional French -- no nouvelle cuisine here. Real sauces done the way they're supposed to be, classic in the best of the old ways. This man cooks from the heart and continues to do so in his 70s for the love of the art. And you really cant beat the value. In many parts of France you'll pay twice as much for a meal half as good. This is great French cuisine the way it was in back the 50s and 60s. It is a disappearing art. Go. Now. Before it is too late.

As his wife and daughter were on vacation, the hotel was still a couple of weeks away from opening, and he was only serving lunches at the restaurant. In typical rural French fashion, though, Arnaud took pity upon us and booked us into his hotel for the night. He then served us beers in his wonderful bar, brought out appetizers, and created a fantastic stew which was our dinner for the evening. Altogether a wonderful experience! If you ever find yourself in Brassac, please do yourself a favor and visit Le Café de Paris -- it'll be a treat that you won't soon forget.
