I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to because it was such a let-down experience. The restaurant is located in a very nice area of Milan called Brera. It's very modern in its decor, with an accompanying background bass pumping music to try and give it that upscale feeling. It's bright inside and it felt like being inside a McDonalds. It's all looks and no substance. This restaurant is more like a restaurant in the States, where they expect tables to turn multiple times and maximize profit at every opportunity, meaning you can really feel they are focusing on the business and not the experience. When I tried to order a glass of wine, instead of being given a choice of a few wine types, I was asked simply about the body of the wine I'd like. When I asked for the options, the waiter said he didn't know and have to check to see what was open. When I asked specifically what medium bodied wine was available, same response. I ordered the tuna tartare (in artichoke) to start. The presentation was nice but there were about 20 small chopped-up pieces stuffed in the shell of an artichoke (they took away the best part of the artichoke) and the taste was not bad, but nothing special or memorable, nothing I couldn't have done at home. For the main, I ordered the octopus, it was one tentacle, 5 bites and I was done. Again, absolutely nothing special in terms of flavor or taste. At the end, nothing was horrible, but based on the reviews and how the restaurant markets itself, you should expect more. Had the experience been better, we would have stayed for dessert, coffee, etc but we just wanted to get out of there. For 2 people, the bill came out to be €117. Not expensive, but the food was average and I didn't even finish the glass of wine they gave me as it was not that good.
