BEWARE RASIST RECEIPT LADY…read more If I could give 0 stars I would. I came here with a group of people. We were are all here on a camping/powwow trip with a cultural centre. We stopped at this Walmart to grab any last minute items. I spent $120. As we (my partner and toddler) were walking out with our items in our cart( not in bags as they didn't have any at self checkout). I stopped at the McDonald located inside. My partner with a child and a cart of items, continued to go to the seating area. She grabbed the cart and starting yelling at him he tried to show her the receipt and she was still relentless and wouldn't let go. I don't know what she was saying as she was speaking another language. After he just kept saying "get away from me" repeatedly she moved on as another NON-White person was leaving. He came back over by me cause he was very upset and so was my 2 year old. We got our food and we all went over to the seating area again, she ran over to us and grabbed my cart again! Yelling at us in her language, I yelled back that these are now my property as I paid for them so get the fuck away from me and my child. Yes I swore but honestly I was very annoyed and felt targeted. I showed my receipt again and said I paid for all of my stuff go away. Good bye. She pushed my cart into the McDonalds garbage can. (And yup my 2 year old was still in it) and then walked away and said "security". I said "get them". After that I just went and finished my food as I didn't have time to argue we are on a schedule and had to be fast. I wanted to speak with a manager about the behaviour. As we are sitting and eating, we watch her. She is checking everyone receipts EXCEPT for anyone who looks white. All the white people were fine to go. She also grabbed a man's arms and tried to push him. He pushed her off and showed her the receipt. (from my understanding they are NOT allowed to touch you) especially since she did this before even asking for a receipt?? The behaviour is insane. (This is within a 5-10 minute time frame) We are getting angry, so we decided to pack up the rest of our food and go back to our bus. We are walking out and she tried to approach us again and I said don't you fucking touch me. And she backs up, sticks out her tongue, abs gives me the finger. I laughed at her. I took the photo of her after the first time she bothered my partner and child (he is indigenous and has colour to him) - thought to add that. I'm very disappointed as this is our first time visiting Quebec and I honestly was expecting better. To be met with such racism, prejudice, aggressive behaviour Is insane. It's 2024. We need to move away from this shit. Long story, I know. I will be calling the business tomorrow to make them aware and hopefully it can resolved. Maybe she needs to work in a different area of the building or not CUSTOMER SERVICE PERIOD.

Well, the selection here was incredible and since we were outside of the US, we enjoyed seeing the variety of goods. We ended up buying a ton of items to hold us over for our week in Canada and didn't spend an arm and a leg! In the end we loved the trip and stopping here kept us that more comfortable.

In every store you walk in, the employees there were nice and helpful. There are so many stores selection and each one is unique. Depending on what you are looking for, I think price can be above average to high. Which is normal for a touristy destination. Loved the umbrella alley, the views of the river from the chateau, and the funiculaire! Make sure to bring cash that is less than $100 or 100CAD because they do not take that at the funiculaire.

Wandering the narrow streets that are laced between the historic buildings makes you feel like you are in the heart of an old European City. The Quartier Petit Champlain is the oldest shopping district in North America and a great place to buy souvenirs for your friends. Here, boutique shops and cozy cafes spill out of restored houses. A fun fact: One of the neighborhood's houses belonged to Louis Jolliet, the French-Canadian explorer credited with discovering the Mississippi River. The stone structures that line the pedestrian-only streets now house a wide variety of shops, services, and restaurants. This is the perfect place to visit for strolling and meandering, and it's a truly lovely area year-round. Modern and huge, it's one of the favorite places for young Quebecois to hang out and go shopping. I have always loved the choices of stores, food court area, the special sales going at the mega department stores like Simons and Zara, and the various special events that take place here. Located on Laurier Boulevard, a major hotel and commercial artery, Place Ste-Foy is well known for its distinctive high-end and high-fashion offerings. Prestigious Canadian, European and U.S. retailers have chosen to settle in Place Ste-Foy, especially: Apple, Banana Republic, BCBG MAXAZRIA, Birks, Cheïkha, Marc Cain, Marciano, Lululemon, Bestseller, Lacoste, Michael Kors, Sephora, Simons, Signature Maurice Tanguay, Swarovski and Zara. The mall is situated next to Université Laval and to the shopping malls Laurier Québec and Place de la Cité.

Here's to the recuperating economy, and being able to spend longer in the malls!!

I called Canada Post and was told basically that I'm out of luck and the Seller needed to open an investigation. I was pretty much distraught at that point about the chances of my package arriving before Christmas. Simons went above and beyond, Audrey D. 1458, actually cared about my predicament and said she would call me back when I explained my problem. She not only called me back, but had already gotten tracking for two new coats and sent them express to the US. She also wrote me a nice email explaining the situation. At this busy time of year, I really appreciated someone going out of their way to help a customer. I've already had one friend purchase a coat from Simons and have another friend about to order one too. I can't say enough good things about this store going out of its way to fix a problem that neither of us caused. Thank you Audrey D!
