Michele and Frans…read moreare excellent cooks and they made four amazing dinners for our group of 16, as well as providing a continental breakfast every day with fresh fried eggs (I think they might come from the chickens that are roaming around the property). The chateau has a nice casual feel. It feels more on the original end of the spectrum instead of being restored to the max, but I actually preferred this, because it felt comfortable and you can feel the history of the place. We had fires in the fireplace every night and they kept the firewood well stocked. The beds were extremely comfortable, with good linens and duvets, and I think that matters most for the comfort of my stay. I would absolutely return here.

Great stay at the Chateau De La Resle. Not that the Chateau is located in the small town Resle…read morethat is about 20 minutes drive from Chablis. It is a drive to everything but is part of the charm. The owner Johan helped us plan all the meals and winery visits, all spot on. He has good taste in everything, as you can see from the beautiful Chateau. Being in the castle made you feel disconnected from everything which is dedicatedly part of the charm.
