Last October, I stayed here for a cheese and wine adventure through my favorite Denver cheesemongers. The Maison, owned by a British couple, is located in Villegailhenc. There is a cheese and butcher shop, grocery, and bakery within walking distance. I suggest renting a vehicle, so you can personally discover the wineries, restaurants, and history near this maison.
The Maison itself offers many sleeping options to shared large beds to bunk beds. Most of the flooring is concrete, so I suggest packing wool socks or slippers. Portions of the floors are covered with 19th century hand made terracotta tiles. The floors do get cold during autumn. They also have internet which was a beast connecting to and maintaining a good signal. Their kitchen is quite sizable. With all their rooms, they can handle many guests and often rent to groups. It is a hefty deposit, though, so treat their dishes and cutlery well. This experience is designed for people willing to self-cater. They also have an intense departure checklist.
Based on what fees I'm aware of, I think the Maison is better suited for large parties than smaller ones. A small note: be prepared to eat lots of cassoulet in this region. read more
