Ever…read more I have a strong history of skin cancer in my family, and after spending the last two years in the Caribbean sun, I wanted a skin cancer screening. I emailed to make an appointment with Dr Martha Garcia. They didn't have anything open for 6 weeks. But they offered to put me on a cancellation list. Less than a week later I received an email offering an appointment the next morning. I arrived to my appointment and the receptionist was very friendly. I waited less than 5 minutes, and I was back with Dr Martha. She was so sweet and so pretty, that you immediately feel at ease. Then she did a full all over body cancer screen for me. It was the first time I felt like someone truly looked at my skin thoroughly. Usually my doctors do a quick glance. She used a tool that can detect abnormalities not seen with the naked eye. Afterwards we discussed the signs of any future melanoma growth, and of course prevention. Lastly I asked her advice for just vain skin care... she described in detail what I should consider and suggested product brands for here and even what I can obtain in the US. She was one of the nicest, most thorough, professional doctors I have ever met. And that's saying a lot, since I worked in the medical field for 14 years!! She was worth every penny!!!
