Food is more on the "langhe" side (the area where the Barolo comes from), with some scent of Valsesia, the valley of the Monte Rosa where Campertogno is. I went there a few times, and always enjoyed food and service, but you must be patient... it may happen they take a wrong order and bring you a rabbit instead of a roast (it happened to us) or they forget to bring the order to the kitchen (it happened once to our Norwegian neighbour who got extremely upset). But if you are in good company this should not be a problem -and the waiters I met have been always very nice and knowledgeable about wine -a must as far as I am concerned.
Always ask the waiter for good advices about food -something might be excellent, something else just good...
