This market has practically everything that you could need. It's broken up into. Various sections…read moresuch as fruits and vegetables, meat and seafood, regular sundry items for the house, and of course the restaurant section. You won't find too many different clothing options here. The restaurant section probably has about twenty five small mom-and-pop restaurants, with each one specializing in different Mexican dishes. Walking past these small restaurants definitely gave me the urge to eat something. There are also a few candy vendors, which is where I found the mazapan treat, as well as, a couple of small coconut treats. They were delicious and jist what I needed. The market is about four blocks away from Alameda and metro Hidalgo.

Few to none are English speaking but it is easy to negotiate and purchase. We bought several objects and a piece of art. Some are true antiques, vintage, and collectibles. Some are replicas and housewares type items. Very good market and worth going to spend a Sunday morning couple to few hours.

We get lots of fruits and veggies here every week. There are also vendors that sell doraditas and gorditas de nata, which are really great sweets that I have not found anywhere else. I was even able to buy some inexpensive handmade furniture. The vendors are very nice and less pushy than in other markets.

Good objects for Mexico Olympics, auto pieces, bones, antlers, and mounted animals. Many toys of all sorts. Lots of bronze and pot metal.
