An all-around very enjoyable hotel experience. From the front desk, to the room itself, to the food…read moreand hospitality, this place was worth every peso we overpaid. Yes, overpaid. It's not cheap, nor is it centrally located by any means. But, it's a nice break from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Quaint and charming are the words that come to mind. I would say it's very quiet, but unfortunately, the hotel also owns a karaoke bar one level below the street, which is far from soundproof. The maintenance staff also started working pretty early on a Saturday morning. Fortunately, our room had an air conditioning unit, so at least that blocked out most of the noise. It felt like we must have been here during low season because the hotel was completely dead. Of the 24 rooms available, only 3 were occupied. Of course, this also meant that we had the place to ourselves and were treated as such. The outdoor dining area has a TV and being the American that I am, I asked if we could hook up the football game to my NFL Game Pass. They went and fetched an HDMI cable and made it happen. They even handed me the remote, making me feel right at home. About the only thing they didn't do was pull the couch out from the lobby to make for more comfortable seating. As far as the room, it's pretty spacious. The bed is comfortable. The complementary coffee isn't bad. They have safes, and the housekeeping does a great job. The food is also pretty good, though I was worried considering it appeared we were the only guests.

I want to offer the deepest gratitude to Hotel Casa de Adobe and the truly wonderful, generous,…read morekind beautiful, sweet, funny, and so very helpful staff. I want to thank and hug them all so much, in such gratitude. I am blessed to have the opportunity to be here in Oaxaca almost a month for a multicultural professional conference in transpersonal psychology- and I will be teaching at one event. I wanted a place where I could totally relax, prepare, work, and be somewhat taken care my event. This was the hotel I chose to pamper me in that preparation. I can not express enough how amazing all the staff have been, especially Luis, Orlando, more front desk staff, our waiters, the night staff and more ( I will try to come back and name everyone if I can with correct spelling). :). I am embarrassed I asked for so much help, and yet I am SOOOO grateful for all everyone did. Luis spent soooooo much time and effort shifting my room when a friend came to join me last minute, he helped figure out how to get fliers printed for my event, they helped me get a taxi to pick up my fliers, endless key re-activations... (lo signet!), and often I was up in the middle of night ( 3, 4 or 5am ) and I worked out in the open art area. The night staff brought me coffee at 4 am and giggled with me (thank you lovely woman :) ). I struggled with the language, they have been soooo kind. Thank you. It also feels embarrassing to be an American right now, and Mexico and all the people and all staff here have been so kind, so welcoming and helpful. Thank you. I needed a place to work, relax and prepare. I had a severe incident of identity theft that I had to tend to while here (it happened in the states, not in Mexico) and I was so stressed after working for almost 6 Horus straight with credit bureaus, etc that I wanted a cigarette (I don't smoke) .. and Orlando offered to go get me one at a store... and it was just what I needed to ground myself with a nice neighborhood walk after several friends sent money to this scam thinking it was me. Thank you Orlando, Luis and others. ( I know we have been 'needy,' please forgive us, and thank you). The Hotel itself is absolutely impeccably exquisitely gorgeous!!! It is a new hotel, with the made to appear older... the landscaping is precious!!! The pool and hot tub in the center are wonderful. They have a lovely rooftop restaurant and bar that has AMAZING views of Oaxaca and the Mountains. It is also an art gallery and the art if magnificent. Many multiple layers and stairs, marigolds, sweet balconies. It has all the creature comforts that I don't need really, yet, again, because I was preparing to teach, it was so helpful. It is in a beautiful residential neighborhood that is nice to walk around and some restaurants, and what neighborhoods would have. It is a short taxi ride to the Oaxaca Centro. I also stayed in some very sweet different places while in Oaxaca, all levels - and those have been great too, especially an old artisan restored 17th century Hacienda Complex up towards the mountains- serves as a training school and center. It's great to be downtown and also very old, truly, places too. Oaxaca Centro is amazing.I will come back, to Oaxaca for certain. Mexico is such loving generous open hearted beautiful country, land and people. Thank you, Mexico, thank you Oaxaca, and thank you Casa De Adobe. With love, gratitude and reverence, Nadine

This morning on our checkout, the morning guy said to us, We are very extremely sorry but let me tell you a little secret, that's the owner's son and his friends so we couldn't really do much..... Really? Because he's the owner's son your extremely disrespectful behavior is condoned? WOW!! I am very proud to be Mexican but again, this is why my lovely country will NEVER be first world. TO THE OWNER OF THIS BEAUTIFUL HOTEL: Teach manners to your children and respect your customers sleep. We will never come back unfortunately and no, this behavior is absolutely outrageous!!
