I've had Allstate for 4 years (I just moved to SA) and I didn't know Allstate varies from office to office but it DOES! In dallas they'd harass me once a month asking if I wanted car insurance, boat insurance, etc.. They just asked me once and that was it here. OH and the girl answering the phone has a fiiiine British accent so that's great if she was at the last office I wouldn't mind all the extra calls haha.

We signed up with this agent due to the proximity to our home that we closed on in December 2015…read more It was a fast process, and we got great rates, but we went through Allstate's 1-800 number, not the agent. When we moved in, our value was determined by the property tax value of $227k. Within two months, the agent increased our value to approximately $270k. I called the office and the front office person was extremely polite and friendly. He attempted to forward me to Mr. Whittenburg, and it seems that the agent did not want to talk to me and returned me back to front office rep. The front office rep was, again, very polite and thorough in explaining about why our value had been increased. Fast forward to April 2016: we had major hail hit the SA area two times in two weeks. When we went to put in a claim for our roof, we found that our home value had been increased to $320k (current property tax value at $247k.) Our home started at $227k less than 6 months before. We called the agent to correct the issue, and a front office rep (also very polite) assisted my husband and made corrections to very inaccurate information entered about our home that appears to have been fraudulently reported by either the agent or someone in his office. She stated that she would put in some amendments and that our call would be returned when the matter was settled. Still no returned calls and our phone calls are currently not being answered. Not happy with our experience with this agent at all. We have not historically had to file many claims for either our cars or our home since becoming homeowners 11 years ago but this is extremely unprofessional. We only insure our home with this agent. Very disappointed with the agent.

Untrustworthy, misleading, and dangerous experience…read more I am extremely disappointed with State Farm and specifically with the agents Trey and Jordan. We were explicitly told that we were fully covered, continued to make our payments on time, and trusted their guidance. That trust was completely misplaced. We later discovered that we were not actually insured, despite being told otherwise. Because of their misinformation and lack of transparency, my family went on a cross-country trip with zero insurance coverage, completely unaware of the risk we were exposed to. This is not a small mistake -- this put my entire family and others on the road in serious danger. The agents we dealt with showed zero credibility and a shocking lack of knowledge about the coverage they were responsible for explaining. Whether this was negligence or incompetence, the result is the same: we were misled while paying for something we did not receive. Insurance is about trust and protection, and this company failed us on both fronts. I would strongly caution anyone considering State Farm, and especially working with Trey or Jordan, to double-check everything in writing. Our experience shows that verbal assurances mean nothing here. Do not trust this company with your family's safety.
