After being turned away from a handful of other restaurants in central Kitzbühel, we found a table at La Gondola, and squeezed in among the other large families looking for some warm and delicious post-ski dinner.
I ordered a pasta carbonara, which featured overcooked noodles, and was generally pretty bland. Fortunately, my body was craving calories, so I pushed through it. Most others ordered pizza, which was better, but not amazing. The wine by the glass was pretty decent.
As the restaurant filled up, it became evident that they were understaffed. The servers were really working their tails off.
I would not recommend La Gondola unless you're looking for unremarkable Italian food, and must be in the town center. I'd highly suggest making a reservation in advance at another restaurant. read more
