In the past few years, they've expanded to the US in two locations in Southern California. I wanted to see if it was any different in Mexico. The answer is a resounding yes. They're hot and crispy, while maintaining a fluffy center that you just can't find easily in the US. Their dips are pre packaged here. I like cajeta and condensed milk, but chocolate is also a top seller. My wife got an ice cream churro sandwich with mango ice cream. She loved it. The ice cream was creamy and the churros hot. We don't remember ordering this at home, but she really liked it. Most likely I'll be coming back before I go home.

Cooked in vegetable oil, these tasted incredible! Chocolate dip ($30 Mxn = $1.67 USD ) While the chocolate dip was on the pricier side, I did enjoy dipping my churros in the rich and smooth tasting chocolate. Overall, El Moro is a must visit! Fortunately for me, they have a location in southern California, so I can get my churro fix! This location only had 2 tables, but most people were getting their orders to go, and eat on the run.

Came to this place as it looked very well from the outside. Well, that is most of what this place…read moreis... good looks from the outside. 2 days ago bought some pastries and muffins to take to my room and boy what a mistake! They were at least a week old! Hard and inedible. So, I decided to give then the benefit of the doubt and came this morning for breakfast.... told the waitress what happened and ordered some poached eggs and sone bread.. these were good and the bread was also good. As for the pastries, went to the counter to order some other things and saw the same choc chip muffins and the meringue that was exactly what was left over. The gentleman behind the counter told me the fresh products were the croissants and breads, the other pastries were not from today! Well noted. When the check came, the manager did not make any repair for the past and left it there. I feel these people are NOT being honest with their customers and simply sell outdated products. Will not come here again! And beware when you order products!!!

Breakfast is good but not outstanding and prices are high compared to similar restaurants in Mexico City. I also ordered an omelette and as mentioned it was ok but nothing outstanding it came with some beans, egg whites and cheese. Local Mexican chains offer for breakfast a better price to quality ratio in my opinion. In summary better setting than food.
