I was in this restaurant in August 2010. It was a special occasion for me, since I asked my…read moregirlfriend to marry me.
The location is really wonderful, you are just in the middle of the Temples Valley and you can enjoy in front of you the view of the Concordia Temple.
We were welcomed by the Restaurant Manager who was so nice to show us the garden around the restaurant. I think he was the only one who had an image and competences to work at the restaurant. In effect, even if the other waiters where as well nice, I cannot say they were really professional or at least at the level you can expect, going in a restaurant of a 5 stars hotel.
The menu is interesting and trying to use to advantage the products and foods of Sicily, but some original names given to the dishes did not give us the opportunity to understand, from what the dish was made.
My girlfriend took one starter with langoustine and caponata: in effect she never received the caponata but a simply cooked vegetables (I am Sicilian, so I know what caponata is). I preferred to have a pasta and I have to say that mine was really well made and I really enjoyed it.
Regarding the main course, I had again more luck than my girlfriend, sine her steak was full of sauce and nobody asked her about the cooking style (usually she prefers medium-well but she got medium rare).
For the dessert I was expecting something more original or at least with more decorations.
We were expecting the restaurant was expensive (we paid more than 100 euro pro Person, including drinks, ca. 60 euro without drinks), but I cannot be satisfied regarding the relationship price-food, since what I eat, even if a good quality, was not what I was expecting from this restaurant. But I am happy about the particular evening and to having had a special view for the whole evening.
