Best Italian food in Stuart! Friendly and hard working and accommodating staff. When we go there we feel like family.

My wife and friends have found this hidden jewel and have visited several times already. The food rivals any Italian restaurant from up north and is, in my opinion, the best Italian in the area. Tastes like my mom's! Service has always been spectacular and Francesca makes us feel like we are eating with family. There are number of good Italian restaurants but La Forchetta is the best. Waitress was excellent. 2 stars, for the "inconvenience fee" they charge you for using a card. Clover has no fees and if they tell their current processor that they will not be charged for using their service, they will waive fees. Anyway, excellent food as always. 5 stars for flavor and portion size, which, in my opinion, makes it the best Italian restaurant that I know of in 30+ miles. I would love to try their pizza, however I live too far away and can't NOT order veal parmigiana when I'm there. The desserts too are super delicious and worth saving room for. read more

After a rather lengthy break, we dined at La Forchetta earlier in the week. It was delicious! My husband and I both had specials, Corvina and a crab-stuffed pasta dish. They were cooked perfectly. The garlic knots and Caesar salads were top notch. The portion sizes left plenty to take home for another great dinner. To top it all off, proceeds from the night's service benefitted a little boy, Cooper, with cancer. read more

Went here last night with another couple. They were busy which to me is always a good sign. They serve garlic knots instead of bread and they were good. My wife and I shared a Mediterranean salad and dressing was tasteless. Small salad was enough for two. One of our friends ordered a small house salad and it never came. For mains our friends ordered the swordfish oreganata ( a special ) and veal francese. Both felt it was good not great. My wife had grilled salmon and was not happy because it seemed like it was cooked in butter. I had the pork osso bucco and it also was just not that good. Not well seasoned and somewhat sweet. We come from the NY/ NJ ares and know good Italian. I our opinion this place ranks as average at best and is certainly nothing to rave about. Service was excellent. read more

La Forchetta is a local Italian place located in a small plaza next to a Dunkin Donuts and Holiday Inn Express. Don't let the unassuming surroundings fool you, depending upon what you order, this place can get pricey. On a Friday night without a reservation, there was no room inside, which was fine with us, as the place is small, with tables close together. We dined outside, overlooking the parking lot, enjoying the lovely Florida winter weather. In general I thought the food was fair. We ordered: Grilled Wings Charcuterie Platter Salads (gratis with entrees) Snapper Specials Pappardelle and Short Rib Special Shrimp and Scallops Fra Diavlo Brownie/Cinnamon Dessert Lemon Sorbet Overall I thought this restaurant charged high prices for decent but not amazing food. I have seen all of these dishes done better, even at other local Italian places. Plus, it took a long time to get our food. Yes, I know cooking fresh food might take a while, but salads and charcuterie should not take that long. La Forchetta is located conveniently off of I-95 and it was within walking distance to our hotel. Would return if convenient but not running back. read more

Please get rid of the paper straws. They're toxic. And they do not work. Everyone hates them. Unless your goal is to piss off all your customers, ditch the paper straws. You serve kids drinks in plastic cups. read more

Stopped here on a road trip from Jacksonville back to Miami. The restaurant is very close to the highway so it's super convenient. Don't let the restaurant next to Dunkin' Donuts scare you away. It's really cute inside. Seemed as though most people had a reservation but they fit us in after waiting a few minutes. The staff is really pleasant. And the best part was that the food is excellent!!! We had linguine clam and the carbonara. This review is from an Italian that can be really fussy. We will definitely be back. read more

La Forchetta is now La Forgetta!! Two-day prior I called for a reservation for 5:30 PM only this time asking NOT to be seated in the middle of the dining room. I absolutely dislike having to keep shifting my chair or ducking to allow servers to go by while passing food over my head; this is an accident waiting to happen. Two days in advance should have been enough time for them to honor my request. However, when we arrived, we were escorted to the very table I specifically requested NOT to be seated at. So very quietly I asked my server to change my seat, letting him know about the request from two days ago. Our server, who was great, leaves to see what can be done. Suddenly, the head waitress appears with a nasty, I do not give a crap attitude, and in a loud voice speaking to us over the heads of people, across the dining room we hear "we can't always accommodate requests" turned and continued serving. I was mortified! People at neighboring tables staired in disbelief. Rising above the situation, I forced a smile, thanked her then proceeded to arrange my table in a different direction trying to make myself feel safe and comfortable. This restaurant is supposed to be an upscale restaurant. Additionally, for the price of La Forchestta's entree's a small salad should be included with the meal. The End. read more

We're moving to PSL and have been checking out restaurants & entertainment in the surrounding areas as well. We ventured out to La Forchetta a couple of days ago. It was a Thurdsday, and it was fairly busy. All staff including our server, were friendly and efficient. We started with the Burrata. We love Burrata and have had it served in many different ways. Mainly with tomatoes or prosciutto. We also like it with figs or grilled peaches. Soooo good. La Forchetta's Burrata is served with butter beans and tomatoes. I had no clue what butter beans are. But we figured, what the heck, it also comes with tomatoes. Luckily, my husband will eat anything. Whether he likes it or not. Just like Mikey. I did not like the beans at all, they tasted like they came straight out of a can. What made me sad was that there were only 4 tomatoes, mainly for decoration. For our entrees, I chose the Chicken Marsala & my husband had the Lobster Ravioli with pesto. My Marsala was delicious. I asked for plain pasta to enjoy with the Marsala sauce. There were plenty of yummy mushrooms and delicious sauce. I had half and enjoyed the rest the next day. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Lobster Ravioli as well. He loved everything about the dish. For dessert, we enjoyed the Tiramisu. Lovely, traditional tiramisu. We were stuffed, yet managed to inhale it. The price point is average in our opinion. They are right off I-95, which conveniently makes it just 20 mins from our new home. We look forward to enjoying more meals here in the future. read more

OUTSTANDING Catering!!! (And a fantastic restaurant!!!) La Forchetta has been one of our FAVORITE local restaurants for many years. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the Staff treats you like you are family, visiting your Italian Grandmother for Sunday Dinner! So, when we decided to celebrate milestone events, (30th Wedding Anniversary and 60th & 70th Birthdays) we asked our favorite eatery to cater the event. This was our first time throwing a party of this size and we had no idea of what, or how much to order. Rosalie made many helpful suggestions and the entire Staff of La Forchetta was wonderful to work with. On the day of our event, the food was delivered perfectly on time, and all the suggested food selections traveled excellently well. The appetizers, shrimp cocktail platter, cheese platters and dessert cookie platters were not only delicious but were also beautiful works of art! All our guests complimented us on the food and wanted to know where it came from. Although many of our guests had heard of La Forchetta, and knew it as, "The Italian place by Halpatiokee Park" most did not know they provided catering, and a few who had not been to the restaurant are planning to try it for dinner. We cannot thank Rosalie and the Staff of La Forchetta enough for the delicious food and service they provided to help make our event such a success. What a hidden gem. I have been coming to Stuart for about 20 years. They apparently had a very successful restaurant in Palm City then moved to this location about 12 years ago. Very busy on a Tuesday night, full old school Italian menu plus a pizza oven. I sat at the bar because the dining room was full (30 min wait). Very happy I did, my waiter was James. He was outstanding and informative. I ordered Chicken Giovanni and a side of meatballs. Food was really really good. I also spoke to Rosalie (the owner) to get the story of the restaurant. In an unexpected location, just off I-95 in a strip mall, this family run restaurant is bustling with some happy Italians, serving up large portions with multiple vegetable sides, vegetarian friendly and traditional Italian-American food. It's a smaller restaurant in a well hidden strip mall area, but it's a hell of a gem. Chosen because they have gluten free options. Majority of their pasta items can be substituted with a gluten free option which worked for our needs. Their portions are huge and the food quality was excellent. Though there wasn't enough room to be seated inside, there were some tables outside where they were able to maintain the same level of service. Orders went in and food came out quickly. If ever in that area again, this would be our go to spot. Shockingly great -- food quite delicious. My elderly dad suggested we go here for a weeknight dinner. I appreciated the hostess accommodating my "warm" seating request, to her PROACTIVELY bringing a table light for dad to see the menu--to the delicious garlic knots and entrees--all was awesome. It was pricey for a strip plaza -- but frankly it was great food, warm service, cozy and quick. We will be back....did I mention they are from Sicily and the food is really good... read more

Finally made a res online cause you must for this place. There's a small bar area when you walk in which also has 2 tables for dining. There are 2 main dining areas. Very cozy, very Italian. There are also tables outside that were all full of guests when we left. Our waiter was nice. Knowledgeable about the wine when I asked. Would have liked him to be a little more attentive but I'm just comparing him to the waitress for the tables near us who was really on top of her game. Extensive menu with some new dishes I've never seen. Not a fan of the dry garlic rolls but, the bread was ok. I ordered the Linguine Pescatore with a combination garlic and oil and red sauce. The seafood (clams, mussels, calamari, and shrimp) was tender and juicy and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Had no room for anything else. The entree was pricey, however, it was a good size portion.
