After finding that he closed his business (the day of my session) I decided that it wasn't good business practice to not contact his customers and inform them of this. After searching for him, I found him on facebook and requested a refund. He is refusing to refund my deposit even though he closed his business. A business that closes its doors is obligated to refund deposit for service. I understand he is practicing under someone else however it still doesnt give him a right to keep the deposit. That business is closed and any contract I signed is null and void.

I was in contact with Vuong, he very nice and informative about everything to which my friends and I really appreciate! I was initially booked with Tiffany but because of something (I believe) was a time crunch, I was passed onto another artist but I didn't think his style fit my art too well, so I asked if he was sure he could do it and told me to hold on a few. From there, they asked another artist and he took a look at my work and immediately started drawing up a stencil. All the while, I was looking at this artist's page and I really liked his work so I just let him do his thangy thang. The artist I had is named Tuan! He was very kind and patient, even with me constantly changing my size and location of the tattoo. As I came to a final decision, he said let's do it and we did. The whole time I was comfortable and he was focused. The pain? 3/10 The art?! 10/10 I am definitely going to Tuan again to get tattooed! When I called to try to get my deposit back, they said that I made the appointment with the shop and didn't cancel on 72 hour notice so they won't give it back. After arguing, and showing how ridiculous that was since the artist quit the day before, they agreed to give me the deposit back. It took 12 PHONE CALLS over a span of 3 MONTHS for them to return the deposit. It became a part of my weekly routine to call them and get promised that they'll send that day, just for them to not do that and never contact me again. The front desk person was great and seemed on it, but the owner just refused to send it and hoped I'd forget about it. Seems like the owner is operating in bad faith honestly. Wouldn't recommend going here because if there is any problem you can be assured that ownership will not handle it with your best interests in mind and it will be beyond a hassle to deal with.
