I always ordered the duck for my main course, which is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. It's cooked to crisp perfection. I love love love duck and this is the best that I had anywhere (other than perhaps Peking Duck in Beijing but that is something totally different). And for dessert, the profiteroles are my favorite dessert anywhere in the world. They are huge and filled with ice cream rather than cream, and lots of ice cream, not just that BS scoop that you get other places, and smothered in hot fudge. Yum!!! Drizzled on the plate was eight balsamic syrup and a very liquidy basil pesto. The flavor were Full of contrast and created a very fresh and herbal start to the meal. - very well executed and tasty. The meal continued with the first course which seemed a little Asian inspired given the sweet & sour peppers which were present on both dishes. Interestingly enough the similarities did not and there as both also had the same type of sauces: a very thick age reduced balsamic and a war sister sauce. The primary components of the dishes were extremely well executed on one side very classic (tuna and foi gras) and on the other side very whimsical (langoustine wrapped in Kataefi (thin Greek noodle)). Other than the fact that there was a lot of things going on on the plate the dishes were excellent.

This is Barbizon, so expect to see your touristy neighbors decked out in Chanel and taking selfies while sipping some of the fine wines available by the glass or bottle. The service was a little slow the day we arrived and our kid-heavy table started to get very antsy, but nevertheless the pizzas really were yummy and the ingredients super fresh. Just expect to pay Paris prices since Barbizon could be the 21st arrondissement, just smaller, more adorable and with a giant forest attached to its side.
