Fire Boat 5 is housed here, is 40' in length and puts out 2500 GPM of water. It is powered by 2 - Caterpillar Diesel drive engines & 1 - Cummings Diesel pump engine. We've been called upon to rescue stranded boaters, sinking boats, boat fires, fires in and around the wharfs, jumpers from cliffs & bridges, drownings as well as the sick & injured from cruise ships. We are currently in "Temporary" quarters, which we have been in since 1992. Pryor to this the members of F.S. 110 lived and worked out of a 5th wheel, shipping containers and old military Quonset huts. So in total throughout F.S. 110's existence (50+ yrs) it has always been in "Temporary" quarters. Life is good. Love my job.
