Check-out was similarly easy. The parking on-site was free and were were able to park in the back area of the hotel by the gardens. Our room was clean and the garden area in the back looked like the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine (we just ran out of time!). We paid the ~10 Euros for the continental breakfast which begins at 7a and it was perfect for a quick meal before hitting the road in the morning. The staff was super friendly and I was immediately greeted at breakfast by the server who asked how I slept and what I would like to drink. I would definitely stay here again while visiting Le Mans! A few notes: - There was no AC in the room but there was a small fan provided. As a result the room was a little hot during a 90 degree summer but it did cool down slightly at night. - There is no separate shampoo/ conditioner provided (just an all-in one bodywash/ shampoo) so if you have hair that doesn't respond well to 2 in 1 then pack your own toiletries! - The hotel is a few minutes drive from the central town of Le Mans so there aren't a ton of restaurants around. This was not an issue for us since we were using the hotel as more of a place to sleep at night rather than spend a ton of time at. - There are a few stairs to get up to the check-in area so be prepared to walk up those with your luggage. If you're looking for a wallet friendly hotel and not a luxurious hotel experience then I would definitely recommend the hotel!

I go to Le Mans every year for a 24h skating race, and the first time I saw this hotel was about 5…read moreyears ago when my team were booked into the Hotel F1 (now Ibis Budget) next door. It was cheap and cheerful but at night the entrance was through the Mercure hotel, which is waaaay nicer! I distinctly remember thinking "What!? I would have stayed here if I knew it was next door!" The last few times I either camped or stayed at Chateaux in the area but we were back in town recently and the Mercure was the obvious choice because I remembered it from before. On to the hotel itself then... There is a huge bowl of delicious boiled sweets at the reception desk. These are particularly handy if you are checking out and about to depart on a long road trip. Score! The service is friendly, there's free parking, it's convenient for the town centre (which is pretty dead unless it's the weekend of the car race) and it's only about a 20 minute drive from the famous race circuit. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the beds are good, and by all rights this hotel should get 5 stars. Why have I knocked off 2 stars then? Toilet roll. Or lack thereof. Instead of a toilet roll and the reassurance of another roll hanging around somewhere should the main one run out, this place has those weird dispensers that dispense single sheets. You end up sitting there like Sylvester Stallone swearing at the ticket machine to get all the tickets in Demolition Man! The 3 sea shells would have been more convenient... So yeah, 5 star place let down by weird toilet paper. I'd still stay there again though :)

We stayed here to be closer to the LeMans race. This hotel is super simple at best. Upon first…read moreentrance the hotel seems beautiful. The hotel rooms are super minimal, but clean. Don't expect luxury in any capacity. If you're looking for a clean place to sleep and shower, this place serves the purpose. There wasn't a bed sheet under the comforter which bothered me. There are no lotions, and the towels are super thin and not plush. There are also no was cloths, just hand towels. The shower is super tight and small. Front desk is very nice and customer friendly oriented. Location- there is plenty of businesses surrounding the hotel. It was nice to walk around and enjoy the party and parade in the streets.

The hand towel you get (which serves as the bath towel too) was a little small for my 6'4" frame... but oh well. Small elevators so if your claustrophobic stay away! Dinner was being serviced and it looked good. We didn't get breakfast but the dining room was packed and it smelt good.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and good value for money. Breakfast is the usual French fare, but they go out of their way to accommodate your needs. The property is situated on a river and is very peaceful and quiet within the grounds, even though it sits on a fairly major road (making it easy to get to). It's only a short drive from the racing circuit... I'd stay here again in an instant, and will likely book the same place next year when I'm at Le Mans :)

The staff could not have been more helpful. We asked where we might find a local vet to prepare our dog for his pet passport; the young lady at reception immediately phone the vet and made an appointment for us. Clearly the site is constantly being upgraded and in our opinion it would benefit from having many more service pitches.
